I think regardless if you make a long term dwelling there, you’ve set yourself up well in terms of investment. Your region is one of my favorite in the US and I often think about buying land there in the future for a seasonal dwelling I can live in part of the year. However for many of our perennial permaculture dreams, the climate, harsh winters, altitude (hard on our bodies) and lack of rainfall was not suitable. Sadly! The water thing especially is such a difficult aspect for so many homesteading there! Yet the land definitely calls 💙
