Ramsagar Old Temple, Dinajpur
Assalamu Alaikum,
Barduari Temple is located in the northern corner of Dinajpur Ramsagar Pond. The ruins of this temple built by the then king are still standing as a historical symbol. According to popular belief, after digging a pond to meet the shortage of water, when the water in the pond rises, he built this temple and worshiped it. After receiving a dream message, he made a well in the middle of the pond and lowered the well into it and offered it to his son. When water came into the pond, the king's son drowned in the water of that pond. (No truth was found in this, but this incident has enriched the history of this temple).

Barduari Naming: This temple has a total of 12 doors, big and small, due to which it is called Barduari Temple. It is now known as the old temple and the new temple has been built to the east of the pond.

The temple is a huge structure and architecturally beautiful. Although only its ruins remain now, the huge thick walls are made of bricks and its construction is meticulously done.
Now, every brick wall has banyan tree roots clinging to it, and a few banyan trees have grown to be huge, holding up the walls, otherwise this ancient temple would have disappeared. Now, it is an abandoned building, but it stands as a witness to the passage of time.

There are several rooms here where idols were kept at that time. Now it is difficult to identify these rooms or doors because they have been broken into one. There is only a staircase to go up.
