This mosque is located in Bagerhat district of Khulna division. It is a historical mosque. It is known from history that this mosque is a mosque of the Sultanate period. The founder is Khan Jahan Ali, he was a Mughal emperor.

Minaret of the mosque

This is an important mosque in the Asian continent which is very important for Muslims and stands as a historical mosque in the world. This mosque is located five kilometers away from Bagerhat city and about 350 kilometers away from Dhaka. I went to Khulna a few days ago and from there I went to Bagerhat Mosque. I came to know from the history of this sixty-domed mosque that although the mosque's dome is written, when I went there I came to know that there are a total of 77 domes and if you count the four minarets, it is 81.

Main Mosque

This mosque is made of red stone, brick and red clay. Khan Jahan Ali built the architecture of this mosque with his own hands. To go to this mosque, I left from Saidpur by the Border Express train, for which I boarded the Blue Sagar Express train from Saidpur at 8 pm and got down at Khulna Railway Station in the morning to go to the mosque.

Then I took a bus from Khulna Railway Station directly to Bagerhat and before entering Bagerhat, I got down in front of the mosque. The entrance fee to the mosque was 20 taka. It is a historical mosque, so maybe that is why the entrance fee has been charged, but I found it strange. The mosque is a special place for all Muslims to pray. I don't know how they keep tickets there. However, since there is a museum nearby, I got the idea. Maybe the entrance fee has been charged for the museum. But the security of this mosque is very tight because the historical mosque has many structures and national treasures, so there is strict security arrangements for it.

This sixty-domed mosque is a tourist attraction. Every day, thousands of people from far and wide come here. There are people from the country and even outside the country to see this tourist attraction plus the sixty-domed mosque.

Crowd of visitors at the mosque

This sixty-domed mosque in Bagerhat is a witness to our heritage. Now this sixty-domed mosque is in the hands of the land-owning department. It is our national asset and it is our responsibility to protect it. We have many residences from here every day. Those who want to visit this Bagerhat mosque from Dhaka can go by train. To go by train, you have to buy a ticket for the Chitra Express or the Sundarban Express to Khulna. From Khulna, you can easily go to Bagerhat Mosque by bus.And if you go from Panchagarh then you can take the train from Parbatipur to Rupsa or travel to Khulna border and go to that train era or you can take the bus everyone stay well stay healthy till today Allah Hafez.
