Project Details
Fasten your seatbelts; this is going to be complicated.
Here is the case...
Verto VTX added Serbian Latin, in order to make it more user-friendly to other nations from ex-Yugoslavia. Now, about 10.000.000 more potential users can (almost) perfectly understand everything in their (almost) native language.
BTW, Verto VTX is:
Verto is a multi-currency cross-blockchain peer-to-peer wallet with initial support for VTX, Bitcoin, Bitcoincash, Dash, EOS, Ethereum, Litecoin and Neo. Verto is being built as a multi-currency wallet for use with the VDex decentralized exchange, and intends to facilitate personal custody and local management of private and public keys in peer-to-peer transactions, with the goal of eliminating the risks of devastating losses of stake associated with traumatic failures of central operators. Verto plans to employ a system of smart contracts to maintain the state between two trading clients, the simplest operations being accomplished with atomic swaps Volentix ecosystem.

Great Design…
Next, Verdaccio made several minor changes, including 2-3 examples (important…) and they fixed some typos. Changes were made both for Serbian Latin and Serbian Cyrillic. Why two “types of letters”? Some Serbs are very happy if they read in Cyrillic and the majority of non-Serbians will not be able to read it at all, although they are speaking (almost) the same language. Yes, Balkan is impossible to explain…
BTW, Verdaccio is:
A lightweight private npm proxy registry

For the end – my personal favourite, GDevelop.
GDevelop is:
GDevelop is an open-source game creation software, allowing to make games for the web (HTML5), iOS, Android or desktop. No coding skills are required: it is easy to use and powerful enough for advanced users.

It’s so lovely! You can feel the love built-in this project.
The design is welcoming, UX is perfect, after 3 minutes you feel familiar with everything…
About 80 examples and starters are waiting for you to unleash your full creativity and imagination.
I was also very happy to see Serbian version of GDevelop and realize that we are doing something valuable.
Contribution Specifications
- Translation Overview
Let’s maintain the order:
Verto VTX, I went through the whole text again and made several minor changes. There was nothing wrong with the previous version, but now it’s even better. This is not strange, as I experience the same with my scientific publications. After the reviewing and about a month (or three…) I always make some corrections.
Verdaccio, this was easy. Only several strings, 8 if I remember well.
GDevelop, new strings were added to support JavaScript.
After reading the website, I’ve found several minor issues, and those were fixed “for free”. I’m not going to count those words.
This example is clear indication why it’s necessary to see final version of the “product”. Sometimes, without the proper context, translators, especially those for Slavic languages, will inevitably make some minor mistakes.
- Languages
Serbian Latin and Serbian Cyrillic
- Word Count
Ok, this will be complicated:
- Verto, 1.148 words from Cyrillic to Latin (some minor changes were done “for free”)
- Verdaccio, 119 new words, for Cyrillic and Latin
- GDevelop, 643 new words (some minor changes were done “for free”)
While I’m translating from Cyrillic to Latin, I need to check the whole text again.
Double-check + the opportunity to improve the text a bit… It’s reasonable to count it with the coefficient ½ .The time I spend translating in that way is reflecting this.
All possible improvements I make are done “for free”, because I want to do my task in the most perfect manner. It’s also important to preserve (to build) DaVinci-Utopian brand.
Grand Total:
762 completely new words + (1.267 words from Cyr to Lat)/2 = 1.395 words
(1.200 – 1.400 words)
