Woman in Violet. Acrylic

I dare to paint things that I find interesting. My time is limited. So I paint at odd hours. I paint what I feel inspires me to improve. But it's hard to choose something that connects with you. Sometimes I go through hundreds of images, and none of them connect with me, fill me up inside. Even connecting with art is a test.

It has been quite an experience, searching for better lighting conditions. I have moved everything around. The palette has been turned upside down and I have stained several things with paint. Including my clothes. Art is dangerous, jjj. Can some forms of art be dangerous?

I have focused on using violet and blues. I have used salmon. And I still have an almost infinite number of color combinations to try. Why do many artists limit themselves to using only five colors? There is also a lot of questionable art. Not everything is art. I sense that the artist's perception influences how their final work is viewed.

I hope you like this painting. Comments are welcome.
It will be fun to see green kittens purring.

Thank you for your support. It's always motivating when people show that they like what is produced by mixing colors and feelings.

You should really try to use the right hashtags to be found!

You want a comment? I noticed that you made a sketch first, hahaha is it your first? Your first sketch I mean?

It might be a good practice to draw, sketch or paint something you totally don't like. I wonder if you are able to or for example, start changing it while drawing/painting.

Why only a few colours are used? I assume we all have our favourite colours which somehow fit to us.

You're a very observant kitten. It's true, I was trying out the pencils in the set and watching some videos on anatomy applied to drawing. A whole universe to explore. I'm still wondering whether to sketch first or just create as I go along. At the moment, I have many ideas. More than the time I need to put them into practice. The infallible God Cronos rejects me. I'm going to create sketches, several of them, and we'll see how I feel about them.

Sketches it will be then. I could say finally, but painting without works with you.

You have more ideas than the time you need to paint? 🙂

Blue needed?

You think it would be much better to continue painting without a sketch. There are still blues left. I've seen that there are 000 brushes, the smallest I have is 1. I like the tiny details. Although in these latest experiments I've let my hand flow a little.

No... it works for you but it 's worth the try to sketch and see if it makes a difference.

I saw your works, you are very talented, I say you can sell them and to an online shop or maybe even in the FaceBook marketplace to make your artwork worthwhile, you can even command a high price for these because they are quality art pieces. @almaguer

Hoping you get all the inspirations in the world to continue your work!👍🧡🧡🧡

Thank you for your support. Keep a few things in mind. I'm new to this field. I have no idea what a painting might be worth. I don't know of any place to sell artwork, not even in my own country. And as a last resort, I live in Cuba, where connecting with the world is a complicated issue. I have a lot to learn. Many barriers to overcome. I am very grateful to @wakeupkitty; without her motivation and help, I would never have started painting.
But keep in mind that art changes lives. It produces effects and feelings that cannot be replaced by anything else. That is art, what flows from the soul when you dare to dream and create.

Wowww....this is great, the colors are mature tooo.

I wish I had known how to paint. The times I tried to do it I was always a failure. I don't know how to draw, let alone paint.
Just as not everyone who writes is a writer, not everyone who paints is an artist. I like your art, you do it well, I am not a connoisseur of the subject, but that image is striking.
What has always occurred to me to tell people is that just as I write and I am not a writer, I tell anyone who feels the need to express themselves to do so.
Because it's a way of putting out into the air what's inside you. What you want to say and don't say it. What you want to shout and you keep silent.
Many times we want to keep our thoughts buried in our mind, they just want to come out. It feels peaceful to transmit to others what is burning inside.
Some understand, some don't, but it doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is what you feel, write, draw, paint, be happy. As you tell me, I speak and write through love.
