Contest : Seasonal fruits of my country
Seasonal fruits of Ukraine.
Summer has come and the conversation about fruits and berries becomes relevant.
Due to the fact that in Ukraine the seasons are clearly defined, all plants growing in that country be it fruit and berry, vegetable and cereal crops are seasonal.
The main season for their ripening and harvesting is the summer-autumn season, with rare exceptions - the end of spring, for early ripening varieties of cherries and cherries as well as some berries.
Year after year differs and in many ways the yield of everything that grows depends on the weather conditions of mid-spring when prolonged frosts are possible during the flowering of fruit crops.
This year was one of the worst because gardeners lost hope for a harvest and even many beekeepers lost bee colonies due to the spring cold.
But as they say it will not always be like this I hope.
Some crops and their varieties are zoned in Ukraine and some fruit trees, for example pears can be seen throughout its territory, its different varieties.
Some varieties of pear can be stored for a long time, but they are distinguished by hard pulp and tart taste and some varieties are very juicy and very sweet but they must be consumed immediately after harvesting.
The next seasonal fruit related to stone fruits will be plum.
It is also zoned for example the "Hungarian" variety that you see in the photo can be seen mainly in the southern regions but sometimes it is planted in the north.
This variety of plum produces smoked prunes which are easily and long stored and are often exported in pure form or as a filling for chocolates.
Apples, like pears can be seen everywhere in Ukraine or rather their different varieties and there are varieties that are easily preserved from autumn to the end of May in refrigerated chambers and there are varieties that spoil quickly.
At the time when export from Ukraine was more accessible apples were a very popular product for export abroad.
In years like this the price of fruit is close to the price of gold lol and cherries are at the forefront.
The cherry season begins in late May and ends in late June.
Among the berry crops that often and abundantly grow in Ukraine and are exported crops it is necessary to note raspberries, currants blueberries.
The business of growing berries is gaining momentum and there is a large network of berry resellers who export them to European countries.
There were years of abundance when people did not know what to do with the surplus fruit.
I didn't sell fruit in Ukraine but in neighboring Moldova my homeland there was a year when the apricots on my plot gave such a bountiful harvest that after they were canned there were still a lot of fruits left which I took to the market.
The fruits were brown and aromatic the "pineapple" variety I didn't have to stand for long at the market the snackers ran up and took everything at a good price.

Thank you so much.
Thank you for this, and I am sad that I have to make such a decision, but it is a responsible matter, and in the current situation I will not be able to ensure this very promptly and punctually.
