Arsenal Transfer Farce, The New Boy and Building For The Future
I like to think I speak for a lot of people when I say Arsenal fans absolutely hate the transfer window. There is literally nothing good to be said about us by all the media outlets. Tiny blogs and loud mouth "football" websites take turns in peddling false/propaganda based information about Arsenal, just for clicks, I assume. Every now and then they shoot themselves in the foot and make a complete arse of the situation.
It was widely speculated that the Arsenal's transfer budget will only be about 45 million pounds, outlets like football london, the sun, the daily mail and other notable names had a field day with this bit of "news". This of course suits the narrative that Arsenal is a deadbeat club with no plans to improve. Fans all over the world are aware of the penny pinching ways of the club and how we've managed to stay relevant in the past few years is nothing short of a miracle but it doesn't mean we don't want more. This hasn't stopped the media from making up stories and then using smaller blogs and outlets to circulate them until they start seeming true.

Only a few days ago, Brazillian Teenager Gabrielle Martinelli joined the club for a rumoured 6 million pounds, according to the Talksport, thus reducing our rumoured budget to around 39million pounds but that hasn't stopped outlets from peddling stories upon stories about Zaha, with skysports insisting that Arsenal has more money to sign Zaha, Football London going as far as saying a 30 million Euro deal for Saliba is imminent and then going on to talk about how Arsenal could Land Nabil Fekir from olympic Lyon, coupled with "reports" about bringing in yet another Mesut Ozil replacement, according to Daily Canon and a host of other reports from outlets that we're suppose to rely on.
I spent a lot of time in the past reading articles on untold Arsenal and they often talked about a conspiracy, though I think it is slightly less elaborate and it is just a thing with news outlets to spread bad news about Arsenal because it spreads faster. I remember how it was always being reported that Arsenal are chasing Manolas, even at the start of this window, we were allegedly in hot pursuit of the Greek international until the farce was unraveled and he wound up in Naples. This is just one fine example of how they create a fake story, debunk the story and then end it with "look Arsenal, you're still shit". It is very frustrating from an Arsenal fan point of view.
Le Proffeseur battled with the media for so long, often taking all the flak for Arsenal's inactivity in the window. Fans expected a change in management would lead to a change in transfer policy but it has largely remained the same and the club is being run like it's a bakery.
Coming to terms with reality was the hardest part for me.
I had to admit that we are indeed no longer a big club and dropped my expectations to the barest minimum. Give me a decent run in cup cometitions, finish in the top 6 and have a decent run in the Europa league and I will count that as a good season.

We suffer now to rise again
The transfer window is never kind to Arsenal, our deals are shoddy at best, we lose players for cheap, let our assets run down their contracts and always scramble to get some half decent John Doe from anywhere to pacify the fans. If the signs I'm reading from the club are true then it seems like we're tilting towards youth development and finding gems from within. Exciting talents like Emile-Rowe Smith, Ainsley Maitland Niles, Reis Nelson, Mavarpanos, Holding and a host of others are just itching to burst into the scene; a few of them already have put in one foot in the first team and it would be nice if they're giving a shot. . How about we give these young guns a chance to shine for the Arsenal? Whatever the case, Up the Arsenal
