A Very Happy Steemit Birthday To Me! A look at some Achievements!

in #steemit6 years ago

I have now been on Steemit for two whole years, posting almost every single day, sometimes several times a day, sharing all the content that I make from all my platforms, from all my channels, sometimes with EXCLUSIVE content made just for Steemit.

Note: if you've been watching my videos since last year's E3, you'll the get EXCLUSIVE reference, since I have adopted the voice and word fro many occasions.

So yes, I've been very vocal about my ire regarding some upcoming changes which I believe will not help Steemit and its community to feel valued, but I do appreciate my time on Steemit and everybody's attention that they give me when reading/watching my content. I do appreciate everyone who upvotes me and the upvote communities that dedicate their time to ensuring Steemians like me are valued creators. I just don't see how some changes will help, and maybe it is a great divide between creator and curator, but I care about Steemit and that is why I become so passionate about it.

So aside from some images I'm putting up here to show off my stats and achievements, let's take a look at some of my achievements on Steemit, things I've accomplished in the last year.

  • I became a member of @naturalmedicine and write content for the tag as well as use the tag when relevant. The community of witches, healers, naturalisers (is that even a word?) is so welcoming and I love them to bits.
  • I became a voice-actor for Steem Monsters / Splinterlands, voicing a few so far and I look forward in voicing many more, as many as I can actually.
  • I became a delegator. I gained enough SP to delegat to @Curie, @accelerator (to whom I recently increased my delegation, to @naturalmedicine, and to a few others.
  • I went to Acapulco, yes, I did. Like I ahven't talked about that before haha, and we had a Steemit meetup there and I got to meet not only speakers who are on Steemit themselves, but friends I have here on Steemit, like @coruscate and @joshsigurdson, and met a few new faces too, like @claydo and @karencarrens. It was wonderful.
  • I bought EDI, my Canon Powershot SX730 HS, with albeit converted Steem Dollars, but with SBD all the same.

All these achievements are in no particular order. They are some of the things I was able to accomplish on Steem, with Steemians and thanks to Steemit.

I will continue to be a devoted Steemian, despite some upcoming changes I really feel will undervalue content creators, but despite that, I want to continue on the platform, I want to give this new change a chance. I simply feel we should have had a say over the changes and that the fact that the higher ups are deciding everything makes me wonder how decentralised this paltform really is. But for the people here, for what this place represents, for what I hope it can become, I will stay, for now, because I believe that it can become something great. Unless the new hardfork doesn't help it, then I might end up making a meme to #makeSteemitGreatAgain :p

Thank you everyone for your continued support and love. I appreciate you. It is YOU, each individual, that makes me appreciate this platform and who make me know I am welcome here, and that is why I stay.

That's great! Seems such a long time ago you joined what was then the MAP community - quite a few members have grown to be significant Steemians. Then as MAP became MAP Rewarder, you placed your faith in the program and, I hope, the returns have been good :-) Best wishes for the next year!

MAP Rewarder & MAPX token = Really Rewarding!
Free Upvotes = 19-20% APR = Random Bonuses = Stable Growth = 18 Months of Profits

Thanks :) It's definitely helped a lot. Being a delegator feels great, because I can help others too.

That's indeed very special day @binkyprod :)
