Birthday Celebration | I'm 29 years now!

10th of May! I celebrated my 29th Birthday, and it was pretty special. It's not common practice in my home to have parties/ big celebrations for the birthday. Mostly milk rice for breakfast, and maybe a small cake with the siblings. This year also it was the same, and as my wife is working in the capital, she couldn't be there either. Anyway, I received a lot of wishes from my close circle on the day.

Well, Happy Birthday to me!

As it was our first birthday as a married couple, she had been plotting secretly to throw a small party. Last Saturday night, she had all planned out and surprised me. Out of nowhere, when they showed me the below setup, well, that made my day! She had made sure that the delay didn’t matter.

The room was decorated simply, but beautifully. With balloons here and there, candles, and there's a chocolate cake waiting for me. I was really surprised and very happy at the same time. My lovely wife had put in a big effort to make me feel special.

Well, it was time to light the candles and cut the cake. And hear the song as well.

Well, there was my father and my mother-in-law as well. I shared the cake with everyone. It was tasteful and fresh. We shared laughter, stories, and good food, and it felt nice to be with the loved ones. Those are the moments that we cherish and remember.

And there's some other thing waiting for me. There were many presents for me to unwrap. I was excited, as I know she put in a lot of thought and effort to get the best ones for me, just like in the previous years. And it was way more than I expected.

First, there was our favorite photo of the wedding. She has enlarged it and framed it for me. And there's something special for me. A Bluetooth earbud. It was something I was looking to buy, and here we go. It's the Anker Soundcore brand, and I love it. And there was a perfume too.

So, as I step into the final year of my twenties, I feel grateful, not just for this birthday celebration, but for my wife and my close circle. I know a few big years are coming up right now, I feel now I am on the right track in writing my own journey.
