The power of unity

Unity

No man from time immemorial has been known to be an island. The truth of the issue is that we are an average of the people and individuals we come in contact with over time.

There's so much strength that comes with unity, so much power in YOU and ME.

These powers are functional when they are pulled together for action.

Unity is oneness and togetherness, it goes beyond contact and has been one force that has been hard to stop over the years.

Two is better than one isn't a mere adage to glorify numbers, but it's true in existence. What two people can achieve is way beyond what one person can.

Nations of the world are successful because individual strength are being pulled together in unity to achieve a cause.

Some humans think they can all do it on their own, without knowing that where your strength ends that's where that for the next person starts.

Two heads indeed is better than one

While I was in college, we had a very intelligent student by name Favour. He was naturally intelligent and topped the class as often as he worked.

One very thing that he lacked was communication and effective relationship with colleagues. He never wanted to rub minds with people, he enjoyed the comfort that comes with his supposedly intelligent mind

Iron sharpeneth iron and this saying holds true in all ramification. If you ever think that your wisdom is sufficient enough, then it's only sufficient to deceit as it has clearly rubbed you off the opportunity to grow.

The wisdom we get each new day validates the old one we have.

Favour continued and turned down many opportunities to help and rub minds with like minds.

A group started off in the department with intelligent individuals, they came together and rubbed minds, seeking ways to conquer their limitations in the course.

The group excelled and within a short while had an effective and even distribution of knowledge across individual participant.

They were able to solve tasks together, see ideas together and differently too while arriving at a consensus.

Favour only enjoyed the limit of his knowledge and within a short while, he was dusted off from the ranks.

It wasn't because he stopped reading, even though he doubled his hardwork, it was not just possible to win the collective gathering of intelligent minds.

This is what unity can do. Unity predisposes you to diverse ideas, repositions your mindset and sharpens your intellect.

If favour had embraced the unity of minds presented to him initially, he would have doubled his knowledge.

We learn each new day from people and work collectively as humans in our different endeavors.

Governments have boards and cabinet that periodically offer services. One man cannot do it, he needs the togetherness of minds.

For a man would find himself a wife and be united as one, his life is boring alone and he needs a help mate.

Unity does not make you diverse and scattered, rather if makes you ONE. For it is with the coming together that a STANDPOINT is developed.

Is unity just about coming together?

Unity is not just about coming together, but coming together in agreement. I've learnt the power of unity in so many areas of life that I have become an advocate for it.

The beautiful game of football works together with unity. For if the team is not united in thoughts and tactics, no victory is achieved.

The team that always wins usually have a coherent and consensus mind.

The steemit platform is an idea of one but the success sọ far has been as a result of combination of individual ideas and contributions.

A situation where every activity is geared towards the improvement of the platform, how would success not be achieved?

A case where @theycallmedan is empowering 20 dapps on the Steem blockchain. All these communities would improve the contents of their members through the respective delegation. Isn't this unity through love?

This is what the world needs. Unity among all, where the rich helps the poor and we all succeed eventually.
I like to go on and on but I cannot exhaustively explain the power and need for unity.

For if we stand in unity, success becomes a trade mark.

United we stand, divided we fall.
