Let's show charity!
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Dear friends
The apostle Paul here shows us the importance of charity. With charity expresses the true love of God in our hearts, overcomes the importance of any spiritual gift. All the spiritual gifts that God can give us are truly useful when we use them with love.
Gifts are tools that we use to minister, but if we use them without the right motivation, we are doing something that God does not approve of. If we lose the true meaning of charity, as the apostle Paul tells us: "we are nothing", we have no value, which means that it will not be appreciated or rewarded by God. It does not serve for our spiritual life any sacrifice, nor the use of a gift, if there is no love in our hearts. Speaking all the languages of the world or speaking in angelic tongues without love, may make a lot of noise, but it is an unpleasant noise for God and for people. If we notice that we need more love we can ask the Lord, to be in his word and his presence will fill our life the love of God and we will have it to give in everything we do.
Sacrifices do not serve our spiritual life if we do not have the love of God, however, the love of God will inevitably lead us to act and be compassionate through offerings or sacrifices of love towards others.
Nor can we interpret that we do not have to make sacrifices, serve or give what we have. True love will always put us into action, perhaps inaction or laziness of many people, also for lack of love. True love always has value, but gifts and sacrifices may have no value, if charity is lacking.
All the law of God and all the counsel and spiritual gifts of God, remain valuable only if we fulfill the first two commandments. The first commandment brings us closer to God, calls us to know the love of God and to love him in response. When we receive the love of the Lord, that love remains in us and if we give place to him, remaining in the faith, he begins to grow our love for him and for others. We all have a quota of love, but God fills it, empowers it and perfects it when it pours out its Holy Spirit upon us. However, people who are not constantly renewed and full of the presence of God, that love may be inclined only by themselves or by a few people, without having any other interest for anyone else. The love of God widens us, motivates us to give or help people who are in our lives, makes us feel that we have to speak about the Gospel of Christ, because it is the only thing that can truly change people, it mobilizes us to do something in favor of the great commission. A person who pretends to serve God, should only be mobilized by love.

But everyone who out of love, is really feeding his own ego, seeking his own glory. One of our most fervent prayers should be to ask God's love to grow more and more in us.
Love also produces respect for people, goodness is not limited to giving to the poor or preaching that we have to be good people, it is produced in respecting and giving value to each person, because we were all created in the image and likeness of God. That is why Paul tells us that the Christian, in giving charity, is not rude, does not do anything wrong, does not become disoriented in situations of daily life. It has temper, knows when and how to speak, act or stop doing it. If someone has the habit of getting angry about all kinds of issues, acting with anger as a habit, he needs to be filled with the love of God.
Anger, as a daily habit for lack of love, is a work of the flesh and Jesus said that the flesh is weak, so we must watch and pray to strengthen the spirit and thus have the fruit of love.
Love has no grudges, if we live with grudges, we must ask for love to the Lord and decide to forgive. We must say: "Lord help me and heal my heart of every wound, fill me with your love to forgive and not have a grudge in the name of Jesus" Amen.

4 El amor es sufrido, es benigno; el amor no tiene envidia, el amor no es jactancioso, no se envanece;
5 no hace nada indebido, no busca lo suyo, no se irrita, no guarda rencor;
9 Porque en parte conocemos, y en parte profetizamos;
