Dammit.. Only start playing the game literally yesterday. There was another Steem based text browser space game (Nova something) that I stoppes playing because it wasn't so fleshed out yet.. Next colony though, is "next" level.. Hahaha

It is pretty cool. Not prefect, tons of bots, long waiting times. But if you start now and you have a friend ingame, you can get some ships and resources and get a head-start.

How do the bots work though? Is there a Discord for next colony players?

Bots can manage upgrading buildings, doing space explorations to find new planets and building ships. Technically much more is possible. Is that good or bad? Depends on how the game manages to deal with it. Splinterlands has succeeded against the bots through many different game styles, which is hard for bots, but also not impossible. Gaming on blockchain is very different to gaming in closed systems.
What is your maximum delivery time?
Good question!
If it takes over 7 days I will take an extra fee of 10%, for the used up mission control slot. But other than that, there is no maximum delivery time. 14 days is the maximum travel time from me to the furthest corner with Frigates and Destroyers and I am totally cool with that.

I am interested in getting some ships but i can't seem to figure out how the math makes this worthwhile? Forgive me, you say the battles ships can hold as much as as 3 chests from shop (valued at 10 steem). So I guess that would mean I would need to harvest 9 (9 x 30 = 270 Steem worth) shiploads full to "profit" from this. Unless I am using the ships as defense>?
Can you explain why someone might want frigates over destroyers? I think I want destroyers...
