#ULOG 624 - Daily Thoughts - 18 Feb 19 - Homesteading Today...
Good Morning, Steemians! :D
We’ve got a cold day ahead here today, right now its -24 C and that’s without counting the windchill, ugh, thankfully its supposed to warm up a bit as the day goes. :D At least we’ve got sunshine to help us pretend its warmer. :D
A bit of father/son bird watching time for our dapper puppy dad Dakota and his handsome son Tiny. :D They both kept flipping their head positions back and forth to keep an eye on the birds on the wire by my car and the birds in the tree in the front yard, they were almost in sync as they swapped birds to watch too, it was adorable. :D
It looks like the lovely Lady has lost her head when she sleeps in this position, how she finds that comfortable I have no idea, but I’m sure I couldn’t sleep like that. :D LOL. :D
Now, our pretty puppy mom Karma knows how to position herself for a good nap with a couple pillows under her head, no kink in her neck. :D
Here’s the front view of our lovely grand-puppy Lady settling in for a nap. :D Do any of you think this position would be comfortable for you? :D
Saying the following two words, “Cookie time!” produces a parade, every time guaranteed. :D Here comes one now. :D There’s our pretty puppy mom Karma, her lovely daughter Lady, and her handsome son Shadow. :D
Look at her, our beautiful grand-puppy Mya impatiently waiting for me to open the front door so she can warm up. :D
I told Karma I wanted to take her picture, and this is the pose she chose, she’s so pretty. :D

Its so funny, when I logged into my Daybreak Game, EverQuest II (EQ II) today, I had voice chat back on the Fae Ranger character I created yesterday, whatever the glitch was it was fixed during the night, hooray. :D I love that the Fae characters float and have glide, their feet never touch the ground unless they’re fighting or gathering, its fun. :D
Leroy chose a warm beverage from his mom, while his mom Belle and uncle Joker where happily eating their oats, and over the cold beverage that Princess and Buddy were enjoying. :D
I’m so glad it warmed up some since I woke up this morning, it was -24 C and its now -15 C, that’s nice enough to open the chicken coop door and let the chickens decide if they’d like to come out for some fresh air and sunshine or stay in the coop. :D They chose to come out for fresh air and sunshine, smart birds. :D
When my handsome husband and I were heading down the hill to get more hay from our farmer friend I didn’t realize some of the piglets were out fast enough to get a picture, but I did manage to get this one on our second trip down. :D
I got this one on our third trip for hay. :D
Those little black/brown and white birds weren’t happy that my handsome husband and I were interrupting their snack time while we unloaded the hay, they kept flying up into their favorite tree, the dead one behind the barn. :D
Almost finished unloaded our third load of hay, only one more to go and then we can put the cow babies to bed and relax for the rest of the night. :D

All the piglets were out as we passed on our way to get our fourth and final load of the day. :D
I think somebody knows its time to head to the barn, okay the whole herd knows, they’re quite smart, they always know when they’re getting oats. :D Leroy, Buddy, Princess, Joker, and Belle are happy to receive oats, they’d be happier if we gave them more though, LOL. :D
Our sunshine disappeared before sunset, so this is as close as I came to get sunset pictures tonight. :D
