How to Get Upvotes

1.) Log into your Steem Monsters account - click on the dark energy crystals icon at the top of the screen next to your username.

2.) Once the Dark Energy Crystals screen appears, use the drop down menu to select "Steem Engine Wallet". Enter the amount of Dark Energy Crystals that you would like to transfer out to use for upvotes and click "Transfer Out." This will send your Dark Energy Crystals out to your Steem-Engine Wallet where you can use them to send to the @givememonsters account to get your upvotes.

3.) Visit https://steem-engine.com/ and log in using Steemconnect. This will bring you right to your wallet and will allow you to view your Dark Energy Crystals, among any other tokens you have, all in one place (functions much like your Steemit Wallet).

4.) From your wallet, on the same line as where you see your Dark Energy Crystals balance, use the icon third from the left that looks like a curved arrow with a box around it to send your Dark Energy Crystals to another account.

5.) Once you reach this point a "Transfer" box will appear. Under "To" type in @givememonsters. Under the "Amount" section fill in the amount of Dark Energy Crystals that you wish to send for your upvote. Finally, under the "Memo" section copy and paste in the link to your Steemit post that you would like upvoted and then click "Send DEC."

6.) Steemconnect will prompt you for your log in credentials before the transfer of your Dark Energy Crystals can be completed. Here you simply type in your steemit username and for the password you MUST use your ACTIVE KEY which you can find in your Steemit Wallet under the "Keys & Permissions" section. Steemconnect requires the Active Keys when using through the Steem-Engine website.

7.) Once you have completed the last step shown above just sit back and wait a few moments and the @givememonsters account will automatically upvote your Steemit post! If there are any errors in the transaction that occurs, the @givememonsters account will automatically refund your account with the DEC that was sent for your upvote.
