Ulog 12 | Saturday's round and colourful but sinful.. 😂

I had been desiring to catch up with one of my friends, a nice lady, who came across our path to be Jansen's saviour. She donated her breast milk for Jansen for nearly 2 years. We are forever thankful that Jansen got to take breastmilk in his early stage of development.

Due to insufficient sleep and haywired lifestyle at hospital ICU after I gave birth to Jansen, my breast milk had gone from waterfall to desert in the span of 6 months. After that, there was no more breastmilk left for Jansen. But human's milk is the best for human... Duh... And my lovely friend came to rescue. She gave birth to her daughter two months after Jansen, and she purposed in her heart to pump extra for Jansen.

We met up once a year to catch up, as we are both super busy moms. No matter how busy I am, I make it a point to buy something for her family, goodies and some stuff. However, yesterday, she was extra busy — with her 3 children growing up and all are going to extra classes like dance class, ballet and sports — she had to be chauffer the whole day, back to back, class to class.

Just when I thought I needed to postpone meeting her, she swung by into my house for just that precious 15 minutes to meet up, before the next pick-up station for her kids. And she even bought us some lovely colourful donuts from Krispy Kreme.

We both know we should cut down sugars on children. But, well, once a while won't die. And I also bought her children some chocolates and some snacks which her children love. A short meet up filled up laughter and moms' understanding was good enough to make our day. Apparently, we were going to ditch the idea of eating healthy (just for yesterday) and let our children binged on donuts and chocolates. Just once in a bluemoon...

We appraised each other for always cook at home everyday, so just one Saturday on colourful and sweet goodies... 😂

I am thankful for friend like this, low maintenance yet closely knitted together, with no drama. And no parasitic relationship. Just pure simple friendship with love.
