Here's a Riddle - Answer if You Dare ;P
I was presented with this riddle by a friend the other day...
"Step into the maze, if you dare taking off your mask. And if you stumble on the way, remember that God has no face. So, what will you drink? The water or the wave?"

I thought I would post the riddle and my answer to this because I was intrigued by it and I'm interested to hear others thoughts as well.
Here's my answer:
They are one and the same. I choose to drink the water brought by the wave, knowing that when I remove the mask, I reveal the water beneath. For, though I might drink the water, I AM the water. And the wave is me dancing through the storms that fuel my "wake".
There are many levels of meaning here, so I broke it down and realized that it's a pretty good summary of my life philosophy at this moment in time:
The water and the wave are one in the same:
The wave is just the water in motion. The wave is still a part of the body of water, it is just presenting itself with a different frequency or energy state.
I choose to drink the water brought by the wave:
We always have a choice in the way that we choose to perceive. You have the choice to perceive the wave as separate from water, but then you miss the connection between the two and it will be challenging for you to understand the nature of energy, and thus, the universe. It is a metaphor for the "infinity AND" or "abundance" mindset. Operating from a state of abundance, we allow beyond what we have perceived in the past to enter our awareness and open us to possibilities that "shouldn't" be possible in our current state of understanding.
...knowing that when I remove the mask, I reveal the water beneath.
The mask is the body that we wear (composed of many layers beyond the physical); it is our costume for this particular "performance" we call a lifetime. The wave is the movement of the water. It is water, energized.
For, though I might drink the water, I AM the water.
We are mostly water, literally. Water is a liquid crystal that is capable of holding memories - our memories of this lifetime, our ancestors' lifetimes and past lifetimes. It is the blank canvas on which consciousness expresses itself.
And the wave is me dancing through the storms that fuel my "wake".
Storms are the difficult things in life that force us to shift, move and change. They are the driving force that create our most meaningful experiences and call us to question, to search within, and to find connection with ourselves and others (these are one and the same). Acknowledging them as such shifts perspective to one of gratitude, turning chaos into a beautifully intricate, awe-inspiring dance of elements.
While writing that, I was definitely in what I've come to recognize as a state of "allowing" or acting as a channel for energy. What some people might call "flow state". This way of thinking has been influenced by my plant medicine experiences, talking with other shamans/sound healers, reading various big thinkers like Bruce Lipton, Nassim Haramein, Joe Dispenza, Dave Asprey, Aubrey Marcus, Tim Ferriss, sound itself, and just my everyday experiences that I'm learning to observe from a different perspective
What's your life philosophy? What are your biggest influences? Are they conscious ones?
Stay tuned ;)
