Location and Background:

This market or shopping mall named New Market is located in Navaran, Sharsha Upazila of Jessore district. This market is located before entering the Sharsha and Benapole border area. Navaran Bazar is called the heart of Sharsha Upazila. Although the year of establishment of the market is not recorded anywhere, the market has been carrying a good reputation for the past 30 years.
The vast and beautiful market was built by a local political figure, Mr. Sirajul Haque Manju. Since this upazila has the international Benapole land port, the market has all the necessary products as there is passport traffic between India and Bangladesh.

Size and layout:

The new market, built in the heart of Navaran Bazar, is located 20 yards away from the Jessore-Benapole highway. The two-story market is quite different and modern in this area. There are two double staircases from inside and outside to go up and down the second floor of this market. There are 150 shops on the ground floor and the upper floor. There is a collection of various domestic and foreign products here, including garments, tailoring, watches, mulberries, cosmetics, beauty parlors. Since Navaran Bazar is the heart of the upazila, people from far and wide come to this market for shopping.

Customer service:

The Navaran New Market throughout this upazila is nothing but customer service. It has a good reputation for selling products at fair prices to customers who have come from far and wide for ages. Due to which there is more customer traffic in this market than in other markets.

Hygiene and Safety:

The New Market plays a strict role in hygiene. There is no kind of contaminated material or garbage. The surroundings are filled with a clean and pleasant environment. There is a clean and hygienic sanitation system. It is very easy to shop from each shop. The goods are kept in a very beautiful and safe way. There is a CCTV system here. The security system here is monitored very well through CCTV. There are cash transactions and mobile banking facilities for shopping.

Personal Experience

In the light of personal experience, I can say that since this market is beautiful in my upazila, I like the New Market very much more than other markets. Navaran New Market seems to be more popular with everyone because everything necessary is available at a fair price.
