Greetings, friends. I apologize after almost 20 days of absence and for not releasing the week four results in a timely manner. Lately, I haven't dedicated as much time as I'm used to. Other circumstances have required my attention, and I didn't want to release results without a thorough analysis. I'm sharing them here.

The challenge was based on three premises.

  • Wanted ad format.
  • Written by a child.
  • Featuring a fantastic pet.

Results: Very good microfiction stories were produced. Each has its merits. Nor am I the one to establish whether it's fantasy or not. I remember how much I loved a dog that grew up with me until I was 12. “Brown,” as he was called, worked magic for me.

In that order, we received among the pets: 1 dragon, 1 phoenix, 2 cats, 1 dog, and 1 cockroach missing a leg.

I also have the subjective opinion that, in general, the children who wrote the ads seem very grown-up.

All in all, it was a creative exercise that I appreciate and applaud. Here is a brief comment for each author.

Impressions and highlights for each author:

📝 @venecineaudio.
Pet: A Sparkling Dragon A story that allows us to connect with the child's anguish and the way the ad is written. The description of the pet's fantastical elements is well-crafted and conveys the child's affection for it. As a reader, I missed some clues about the cause of the disappearance. The ending could have been better utilized. ---
📝 @dove11:
Pet: 13-week-old Golden Labra puppy. A beautiful story that immediately connects us with the problem. You achieve a good characterization of the girl, thanks to the amount of details you provide.
I can understand why the girl thinks it's fantastic, but the magic of the puppy needs to be described more. A touching ending.
---
📝 @sur-riti:
Pet: Timsi, a small black British Short hair kitten. A wonderful story. It presents the personality of the boy, who shows his personality and way of thinking. The author describes the almost maternal care the boy gives the kitten, which is touching. He shows us his worries and expectations about how he might be doing, alone and lost. As a reader, I missed knowing the characteristics that made Timsi “a fantastic animal.” Thank you for sharing such a lovely story with us.
---
📝 @eudisdiaz:
Pet: Bennu, a Phoenix
This brings us a girl with her Phoenix. It describes the pet's incredible characteristics and also shows the girl's naivete towards it. It establishes the role it plays in its owner's life.
It makes excellent use of ellipsis, omitting information and barely suggesting it. But I don't feel the classified ad tone; about halfway through, the story seems to disintegrate, for the purposes of this particular contest, because I think it's a magnificent story.
---
📝 @solperez:
Pet: a cat named MANCHITA
As always, a great example of microfiction. It uses techniques of double entendres and ellipsis. The pet displays many distinctive and unique characteristics, which perhaps don't fit the spirit of the challenge.
---
📝 @enrisanti:
Mascot: a lame cockroach named Martina
The author has great skill in turning everyday life into a narrative. He uses humor to present unlikely situations, making them very believable. The story is full of references to Venezuelan identity, which may be difficult for a foreigner to understand. This doesn't detract from the story's value, and it's a pleasure to read.
---

Thank you all for rewarding us with your great display of creativity.

What's next?

First, I'll analyze the impact of this contest on the community. I'll talk to the administrator and consider the relevance of continuing with this format.
A possible spoiler would be to say that more fantastical creatures are coming. We'll see.
Thanks, everyone.

Dear Josè, thank you once again for the wonderful idea of your writing school and the pleasantly careful realisation. You have brought Dream Steem a little closer to my original idea - joint text work and co-operation as authors. I had already given up hope ;-)) I'm happy about continuing the series; we don't have the participation in numbers like the big Communities, but our hearts are in it and we're getting to know each other better and better. All good ;-))

Thank you for your kind feedback.
I'm glad we share similar ideas regarding creative writing.
I am grateful for your support, which encourages me to continue. This week will be a week of adjustment and evaluation, but in a few days I'll resume with a new proposal for short fiction writing experiments.

Saludos.
