Greetings to all of you who have joined this initiative that I have proposed to carry out, as is the launch of the tag musicavenezolana
, and in general, greetings to all those who have followed my work since my inception in this great platform that still has much to offer. I hope that we can all follow our path towards the realization of our dreams and goals, without there being anything, however difficult and painful it may be, that serves as a reason to abandon our path.
Today I am not going to talk about the tag of our music but more than everything about how I came to Steemit, because there is a person to whom I owe having met this platform, and also made one of the most important things that have been able to do for me in this life. I think we can all agree that we are on this platform because it has changed our lives in many ways, for some Steemit means a great source of income, for others means a means to socialize and show their life, there are people that we use this window to share our knowledge and projects, and also share our musical work. And a few have found a way to transcend life in this vast virtual ecosystem.
@rafalex51
Rafael Angulo (@rafalex51) is a psychologist who has been living in Steemit for some time, and dedicates his blog to self-help articles and important topics on psychology, as well as being the creator of an interesting concept called Steemian Motivation, which can be found on his blog . He also takes his work to different projects related to meditation, and also works as a thesis tutor.
Rafael is a person I met at a very difficult time in my life, in fact he was my psychologist more than a year ago, and it was at the military hospital in Barquisimeto where I met him, since he was part of the team of interns in the department Psychology of that hospital that is 20 minutes from my house walking ..... And sometimes I went walking there ... Hehehe!
In fact, there I met more people ... I met other pretty good psychologists (Rafael was the second and after the third psychologist I went back to Rafael but in his office), and I also met the person who ran the Department on time, who He also opened his account in Steemit. And although the process I had to go through was difficult, now that I'm on another level, I can see that maybe that process was necessary to be here with you contributing to this great platform.

Meetup in the Centro Comercial Da Vinci

How did @rafalex51 contribute to my work on the platform?
It was December of 2017 and my economic situation was not good at all, I was not touching with almost anyone, the touches were already starting to practically disappear, and I had almost no money. Rafael began to show me ideas in the consultations, about working on YouTube, but the truth is that I was a bit skeptical about many factors, starting because I did not know what to do on YouTube, or how to gain followers or anything. Then January came, we went back to the consultations, and my situation had not changed at all. Then Rafael told me something different.
He told me more or less this ... I work on a platform very similar to Facebook, where you are paid with cryptocurrencies the equivalent of dollars, and I know some friends who have earned many dollars in these weeks with publications. You can also earn money with your compositions, and the best thing is that they will defend your copyrights. He kept telling me examples of his friends, among them he told me about @elinderzambrano who was earning enough dollars in that week, and he was also going to organize in that week a meetup at a local Mac Donalds that is in the Av Lara (those who live in Barquisimeto know the site and the address of which I speak).
For some reason I became interested in this issue, and started asking questions, and when we finished talking I wrote down the address of this platform, hoping that when I left there and arrived at my house, I could try to open my account before the day of meetup.
Then I opened my account, and by that time I could still receive the verification code instantly, I received my code, I entered my account and I explored the platform a bit to know what questions to ask the day of the meetup, and I waited a few days until the day of the call came, and I attended the meetup at the time they said.
There I met @elinderzambrano, and I remember that the first impact I received was the welcome we all had, since Elinder sent us a glass of a shake called mac cafe (I do not know if it is still served at mac 'donalds), but I was surprised because in those days it was rare for someone to pay the bill of so many people, and more for an expensive product like mac coffee, mainly due to the high floods of inflation in my country, which are increasingly critical. And more than pleasing me that surprise, for me it was a clear message, that in that place they would show me something different from everything I had seen in my life.
And in those hours I finished corroborating what I suspected, in fact, Elinder told us that this meeting had been funded by one of the most important steemianos in the world, Stephen Kendal, which made me understand that I was listening to someone important. In the end, my mind kept thinking about all the things that I gave up in the past, and now I wanted to start to try this new light that they gave me.
Then I ended up realizing that if I wanted to be successful I could not afford to do things half-way on the platform, that I had to get attention. I knew in advance what kind of lines I wanted to take on my blog, but I had a lot to practice with Markdown language, and many other things. In a week I learned to take pictures myself, in the next I learned the most basic things of markdown language except to mount the images, and I started to write my presentation post and several more to work in advance, and not waste time. The truth is that with all that it took me almost a month to make my first publication. And in the consultations Rafael always asked me, When are you going to start publishing? Do it now, as you can and the rest you learn on the road, he said with a pressure tone for me to react. It was uncomfortable, but otherwise I would not have seen the results that would come after the first publications I did.
As I could I finished learning how to master the images, and everything related to the basic norms demanded by the support communities. And several weeks later I was already publishing my first post that was very well received by the communities. When I published the 3rd post (I do not remember correctly), the Cervantes team voted for the first time. And that was the beginning of all this work that I have been seen doing all this time, where I have had my successes and my mistakes, but always trying to be consistent, always getting involved with the latest events on the Steemit platform, and the blockchaim of Steem.
Final words
What touched my heart most of all this odyssey in which I got involved, is that for the first time there were people who valued my work, and everything I had to show as a musician, speaking not only of the monetary, but also of the spiritual , plus the feedback I could experience with the people who followed me and commented on my work. Although as many know, I have published almost nothing about my compositions, but more than all series of musical theory, and a series that I must take up on the history of the Venezuelan cuatro.
The reason why this moved me is that before all this I experienced certain experiences, especially with a person who made me feel the opposite with his actions and who hurt me a lot. In fact, @rafalex51 was the one who diagnosed the condition of my Asperger, something that I had to learn to digest and take calmly, since that explained to me many things that happened to me and that still continue to happen to me and that, without a doubt, They had me at the mercy of the depression in which I had fallen and made me go to these consultations.
And I believe that beyond earning money and making myself known as a musician little by little, this experience with Steemit for me has been a second opportunity that God wanted to give me to understand how I had to channel the bad things that I had to go through, and discover that my musical work could have a value for many people. The truth is that I will never regret having paid attention to @rafalex51 that day he spoke to me for the first time about this great platform that still has a lot of ground to explore and conquer.
This taught me that all we need to do to experience strong changes in our lives, is to change our way of doing things, and renew ourselves with new formulas that give us different alternatives. If what affects us are our routines that do not give us results, we have to try different routines, if they are our strategies and plans, we must try other plans that lead us to that goal we want to achieve. And if the relationships we have, which do not help at all, it is time to consider changing our personal neighborhood, not spending time with people who do not contribute anything, or who discourage us and do not support us in what we need, to start spending time with the people we know are going in the same direction as us, and who will be happy to help and accompany us on the trip.

In this way, you can already know why this gratitude was so necessary, since all the things that happened were decisive to be in the place that I am at this moment, where perhaps I do not have much to offer, but I have the alternative of being able to address myself directly to my goals, nothing else is missing some things to finish arriving, and that the project that I have announced so much begins to march on wheels. This process will be a little long, but sure, and I can also commit myself to do everything possible so that the great moment of our Venezuelan music arrives as soon as possible.
Thank you very much @rafalex51 for the time you dedicated to help me channel things and for making me this revelation about the existence of this great platform where everything is possible.
Regards!
