A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

Sitting down to watch TV, listening to the news while enjoying an ice cream is quite common, but when the news refers to someone in your family, it is NO LONGER the same.

Sentarse a ver la televisión, escuchar las noticias mientras se disfruta de un helado es bastante común, pero cuando las noticias se refieren a alguien de la familia, ya no es lo mismo.

You hear the news of an accident on the highway, you continue enjoying the delicious ice cream, but suddenly you receive a call that literally leaves you frozen : One of your sisters is lying in the street, she has just passed away and you must go accompany some of your relatives to make arrangements for her burial.

Escuchas la noticia de un accidente en la carretera, sigues disfrutando del delicioso helado, pero de repente recibes una llamada que literalmente te deja congelado: Una de tus hermanas está tirada en la calle, acaba de fallecer y debes ir a acompañar a algunos de tus familiares a hacer los arreglos para su entierro.

Traffic accidents happen frequently , we hear about them on the news, but when the person who loses their life is someone in your family, everything changes ,you lose the indifference .

Los accidentes de tráfico ocurren con frecuencia, los escuchamos en las noticias, pero cuando quien pierde la vida es alguien de tu familia, todo cambia, se pierde la indiferencia.
