5G - 100 times faster than 4G

Hi Morning to everyone here, it's a great day. The weekend is finally here. If your working, it will be a matter of time before heading back home.😉

I have been checking out 5G for the last one year. I still recall the days when the world was connected with 3G and some places I went was connected at even 2G (drunk snail speed).

I was on insta when I stumbled upon their post about 5G. First of all, 5G is able to get you connected at around a 100 X of what 4G offers. I am not sure which benchmark speed this refers to as 4G can range from 10mbps to 1gb/s speed. I M going to exaggerate a bit but using the current top speed. 1gb per second.

What that means is that with 5G, the speed could reach of upwards to 100gb/s.

The speed that Bloomberg states is at 10gigabytes per second.

The next question, everyone is gonna ask. What's the use of all that speed? It's like being given super human powers all of the sudden. It means that anytime beyond where 5G's launch, every single thing could be connected. From your car, your room, your car park and tons more.

You can stream any 4K videos with breeze, LIFI could be then possible. LIFI is something like wifi but instead uses light to connect you to the net.

This video from TED talks demonstrate this.

If 5G is one day here, we have to be ready. Our life would be great, which no doubt would happen. These are some of the potential advantages that I can think of

  • Netflix would be on top of as one of the biggest movie producing companies
  • The gaming industry would see its rise in a different platform
  • Everything in our house could be connected, even our toilets that could measure if we're pooping well
  • Cryptos could be used widely
  • Roads are safer due to the different sensors built into it that's connected
  • You could order anything and everything online with just your fingerprints
  • more people have the chance to work at home as there are more jobs that do not require you to get to the office. There have been speeches made by Jack MA and even Richard Branson that speaks of a 3 hour workday as everything could be automated and algorithms could help assist us in everything we do.
  • Phones in this futuristic time is the most important thing in our pockets, but now phones have this cloud backup that's live which protects you in case you lose your phone.
  • Then there is the rise of cloud computing.

The list is endless. There is no escape from the world of connectivity and the only thing to do is to embrace it.

One important language I think everyone should learn is a programming language to ensure our job security if there is such a thing in the future.

Have a great day. More to be written soon. I spent 30 minutes writing this. I read lots of books, scientific stuff usually and those Finance books.

I am going to write a post soon as a guide for new steemians. I have seen that many steemians who are new here are finding it hard and usually leave this platform.

Sometimes, we do things not because we want to get famous, but things we do could be something fun to do or it could one day be a skill that comes in handy. I go jogging usually for the fact that I want to get fit and even if no one knows about my progress, it doesn't matter as long as I am getting somewhere. Don't give up.

Any funds about the health affects this has in people, I’ve heard it could be bad for us?🤷‍♂️

Yea. That's something to be concerned about too. Not sure what kinds of health hazards would it cause when 5G comes is released.
