There are "adults" who stole millions of people's money yet they remain unconvicted for decades. And now, the law makers of my beloved Philippines are talking about lowering the age of criminal responsibility from 15 to 12 years old. This is funny.

They can't even properly fund and implement current programs. They can't even give justice to the existing laws, and now this.

I was reading an article last night, it says that with this law, kids will be brought to a certain center if they will be in conflict with the law. That's a big joke. They can't even provide proper facilities to the street children. We have a lot of homeless people, the jails are congested, hospitals who lacks manpower, and again "thieves" who are still enjoying their freedom despite them being in "conflict with the law".

I would like to agree with Sen. Drilon that there is no need for amendment with the current Juvenile Justice Law, the problem is on the implementation and that's what they should focus on. Imagine, they are consuming time para lang pagusapan yung pag lower ng criminal responsibility from 15 to 12 years old. C'mon people! Can we redirect our energy to something that makes more sense. Hindi yung gagawa gawa ka lang ng batas para lang may accomplishment ka. 🙃
