Una paleta que nace del polvo

Hola, comunidad!

Es un placer volver a estar en contacto. Esta vez vengo con una gran noticia. Mañana voy a participar de mi segunda exposición colectiva en Barcelona.

Me hace mucha ilusión dar los primeros pasos en el mundo del arte contemporáneo en una ciudad tan mágica como esta.

Ustedes son la primera comunidad con quien la comparto y me gustaría saber sus opiniones.

La consigna es "Verano, color y calor"

La obra consiste en un díptico para el que tomo, en la primera parte, una paleta de colores inspirada en el fenómeno conocido como "calima".

Para quienes no lo conocen, la calima ocurre cuando el viento esparce diminutas partículas de polvo y arena, provenientes del Sahara, y carga el aire de una densidad casi tangible.

Pero la experiencia sensorial no acaba ahí; el paisaje se transforma en una escena casi monocromática: tonos terrosos, ocres profundos y anaranjados vibrantes. Mirar la calima también es condensar la tierra, el viento y el sol en un mismo cuadro.

En esta segunda parte de la obra, la paleta cambia. Aunque artificial en origen, es muy emocional en impacto. Utilizo esta gama de violetas, lilas, magentas para representar la incomodidad del calor, es un gesto.

Los colores ya no evocan tierra seca, desértica, sino el aire denso, sobrecargado. Como en los mapas digitales que advierten, con códigos cromáticos intensos, todo lo que flota entre nosotros.

Las obras en su conjunto se completan: por un lado el calor visible, táctil; por otro lado el calor invisible, codificado. Dos paletas unidas por un mismo fenómeno, la calima. Vistas desde dos miradas diferentes, una humana, otra digital.

It's a pleasure to be back in touch. This time, I have great news. Tomorrow, I'll be participating in my
second group exhibition in Barcelona. I'm very excited to take my first steps into the world of contemporary art in such a magical city.

You are the first community I've shared this with, and I'd love to hear your thoughts.

The theme is "Summer, color, and warmth."

The work consists of a diptych, for which I take, in the first part, a color palette inspired by the phenomenon known as "calima."

For those unfamiliar, calima occurs when the wind scatters tiny particles of dust and sand from the Sahara, charging the air with an almost tangible density.

But the sensorial experience doesn't end there; the landscape transforms into an almost monochromatic scene: earthy tones, deep ochres, and vibrant oranges. Looking at the calima also condenses the earth, the wind, and the sun into a single painting.

In this second part of the work, the palette shifts. Although artificial in origin, it has a very emotional impact.

I use this range of violets, lilacs, and magentas to represent the discomfort of the heat—it's a gesture.

The colors no longer evoke dry, desert-like earth, but rather dense, overheated air. Like digital maps that warn, with intense color codes, of everything floating among us.

The works as a whole complement each other: on the one hand, visible, tactile heat; on the other, invisible, codified heat. Two palettes united by the same phenomenon: heat haze. Seen from two different perspectives, one human, the other digital.
