It has been an interesting week for me as along with traveling across the country from work, I have been finding myself behind on engaging with my Steem feed. I typically prefer to not be away for more than 2-3 hours at a time but it was inevitable this week. To make this even more interesting, I was recently named one of the @partiko mentors to assist new users interested in using the mobile app to engage with the ecosystem. I thought it would be a great project that could complement my weekly #introduceyourself curation efforts. It was tough to maintain the activity during this week, but I think it went well in general.

As @partiko mentor, I curated some additional #introduceyourself posts in order to try to move new users to the @partiko app. Since I did not want the effort to interfere with this weekly curation initiative, I selected more general users that would seem to benefit from the use of a mobile app. This included creating a different comment to leave in these efforts:

As I explore this new adventure in the ecosystem, I look forward to receive feedback to improve these efforts as it will help me motivate and engage users for the future of the community. I have not tracked if this has been successful as of yet as I am still figuring that part out but I am not really in it for the competition nor rewards associated with it; instead, I want to offer my assistance in keeping them engaged and motivated in the ecosystem. @partiko is a great Dapp to assist in doing so as it is relatable and simple to dominate. I hope to achieve the success needed to engage individuals in their journeys here.

As @sndbox continues to support the @steemonboarding initiative, they continue to promote it via a weekly post on Wednesday where you can introduce somebody in the comments section as win rewards for both accounts. I continue to participate as I curate the #introduceyourself tag weekly and provided the following submission this week:

@nivekpro is a new user from Jamaica that introduced himself to the community recently and explained that despite building an early career in computer sciene and information technology, he ultimately chose to follow his passions in the arts! His passion for animation and filmmaking has led to several awards and a place as a leader in the industry in Jamaica. In addition to these, martial arts and motorsports have been of his interest. He hopes to share these experiences with the community!

The following are this week’s curated #introduceyourself posts from new Steemians! Please consider providing them a visit to help them onboard and provide them with motivation towards the future:

@josietrueblood is a young musician that enjoys not only creating music with the multiple instruments she plays but also assists creating communities for others as she helps plan venues for other aspiring musicians around her town. She spends her spare time with her three Persian cats while she has also recently released a soung on soundcloud with a full album expected later this year. Her introduction was well received by some communities here in the ecosystem as well!

@p1eter has just reintroduced himself since he had lost his previous account. I chose this one as it is an example of why it is important to help users onboard and learn how to engage while remaining secure in the ecosystem. He is a musician that has worked on productions and his band as they tour Europe! He has a Company that is still inactive other than his band but shows potential to his entrepreneurial spirit! I look forward to seeing his second round at Steem!

@riya123 had an interesting video introduction to present herself to the community! While I could not understand due to language differences, she spent time to explain her thoughts of bringing the Vietnam like culture to us. Although she is an Electrical Engineer she spends time on other passions like music, painting and cooking. I always enjoy to see brave new users coming in with a video!

@balthazar46 is a professional writer that shared his experience coming on to the blockchain by exploring and tryin out @steemmonsters! It was his first blockchain game experience and while he was hesitant given the “investment” needed he quickly found that he enjoyed the game and its mechanics. This is a great example of how a Dapp is helping to onboard new users who ultimately get involved on other Dapps and opportunities in the ecosystem! Perhaps it was meant to be given his writing background!

I hope this to be an evolving process to the benefit of the community so please continue providing feedback to support these and all the new users coming to the platform. I am looking forward to more new users coming and engaging with the community to solidify the social aspect of the #STEEM blockchain.

Have there been any new users you have found that I can pay a visit to? How can we continue to support new users in order to manage their expectations coming to this new platform? I look forward to your thoughts and feedback in the comments below!

I look forward to seeing the community actively engaged to provide feedback to support incoming users with the proper education and motivation to get off on the right foot in the ecosystem!

Ah, now I see you're one of those spamming the new comers. 😂

Kidding aside, this is a very good initiative for the new members to have a place to start with. I can related when I posted my very first and #introduceyourself post, many came to greet and welcome me in spite of the fact that I did not know anyone on Steemit or even the Steem blockchain as a whole.

Now I discovered @sndbox's initiative through your post. It is over though as it lasts for 24 hours but hopefully, I'll be able to catch a newbie candidate next time. 😊

I hesitate to spam too much but I see great potential at times and like for them to have great information to look at instead of looking through it. I can’t wait for the @steemonboarding project to start as the comment would be short and simple, go to the website for all your onboarding needs!

For as long as you don't upvote your own "spam" then I think that is okay. It will server its purpose of helping the newbies to easily find what they need. What I hated with the spammers is when they spam and upvote their comments. Others even do it at 100%!

That happened to me on my very first and introductory post. It was not even something like yours to give me directions on Steemit but barely a couple of "welcome" statement. I frankly told the commenter that maybe he can somehow rephrase his comment so that is it not a very obvious copy/paste from one intro post to another. Somehow, I see he stopped doing it. Now he's part of the LinkSeven77. 😃

I think the way to show the creators of content and expose their publications as you do in this publication ... we take this example to take it to the Hispanic healing communities of steemit. Thanks for sharing. A hug from Venezuela.

Awesome! I often spend time curating spanish introductions as well as I am grateful to know the language. Thanks for your thoughts!
