‎A big thank you to mohammadfaisal for a solution to uploading pictures on the steemit platform by getting a direct link that displays images perfectly on the steemit site. Many have witnessed similar challenges and I decide to share with them some adjustments they need to make and also my personal solution to upload images on the site, after trying out our Pakistan brother's method of uploading.

‎I found out that this works perfectly with images snapped on mobile phones, i.e camera images, dad's birthdays was a few days ago and my cousin sent some images via xender and I found out that this site doesn't support the image format and kept showing fail so I made my own research and found out how to get the direct link of images of that format on the steemit site, and even some Steemians complain of not being able to get their images display..

METHOD 1

‎Original post

‎If uploading images on the steemit site is showing fail, then this is what you should do,
‎

• Use https://postimages.org/
• After the site opens, don't make changes to what is seen on the page, no need to sign up.
• If you are using a desktop view, something displays on the top left corner of the web page which are upload and upload using URL.
• I am sure it will be uploaded on the initial opening of the site.
• After uploading, different link displays, then copy the direct link which appears in this format ....., after copying paste it on the steemit site and the images may appear.
• The customisation of these images works very different from my point of view, I tried out a lot of crazy customisation and it works out but be sure to insert this edit before the dot.

METHOD 2

‎

‎NOTE: the site above doesn't support all image format especially xender images and some other images, and this was my case, and I decided to make my personal research.. and for those experiencing some difficulty in uploading using the first method try this method out.... I just hope it's useful.

• Using https://files.fm/ for method 2, try signing in, it won't take more than 5 minutes.
• After signing in, click on upload images
• After the image finishes uploading, click on the three vertically arranged dots on the right beside the image then copy the link which will be in a URL format
• When you are done with coping the link, head back to https://postimages.org/ and click on upload using URL.
• Paste the URL and click on the upload button for the image to display then copy the direct link
• After copying the direct link, take it to the steemit site, and paste it
• After pasting, there is a high tendency for the images to display, if it doesn't then, make the edit on the last "dot" before "jpg"
• Like I said earlier, this edit is just customizing the url and can be in the format below...
