My son has a birthday and we decided to buy a cake and sing his birthday here at home. Together as always.
Both of us wishing they would put the light back on, to have the air conditioning again and for the house to cool down.
We are going to stop bathing so much because of this unbearable heat.
I hope your wish comes true and we have a cool house again.

The air conditioning is fine, what exploded was a transformer on the public electricity network on my street. Nobody has power for air conditioning around here. We have almost a month in this calamity.
Having air conditioning in such a hot region is very important.
My son and I spend the whole day bathing and at night, we can't handle the heat so much.
The cake was delicious.

That sounds bad. With us the electric equipmemt would be broke. You still have access to water? That would be my first problem since without electricity I haven't a drop. ☹️
I assume there's no one to ask and you do not have a generator. How did odople survive before electricity?

En esos temas ando modo Dios. Asesoría de supervivencia en todo tipo de desastres. jjj. Si solo te afecta el aire acondicionado, es como un pequeño picazo de un mosquito. Imagina tener solo 2 horas o 40 minutos cada 24 horas, para hacerlo todo. Esto durante meses y meses, sin posibles soluciones visibles.

Here what we have to have is patience and hope that one day in the course of the months, the municipality will grant an energy transformer to this street.
We cannot compare ourselves with the disasters of the countries because Venezuela is a rich country, it has everything, but it is poorly managed.
The water does not work with energy from the street but with energy at the central level. That's why we have water every 4 days. I fill my water tanks and there is always the vital liquid.
We can buy air conditioners that work with another phase of the light that we do have. We could buy it and install it and once we have fresh air at home.
The little problem is that they cost $350, a small one. Something like 275 SBD. It's something we don't count on. At the moment there are other priorities.
My son must buy a new monitor because the monitor was damaged due to the light problem. All his savings go there now.
I just have to be patient my friend, a lot of patience and cold water to bathe, hehehe.

By the way, I know it's hard to make money, but imagine that in Cuba, even if you make the money, there are 90% of things you won't find in any store. For example, there aren't any stores that sell computers, laptops, or any other items. Let alone art. The list would be long. Do you have stores with everything imaginable?

I don't believe there are stores with everything imaginable... at least not where I live. There are empty shells, of bad quality, a lot have disappeared. What I imagine I rarely see in shops to start with shoes and clothes and certain food. LOL
That's a huge problem if the power ruins the equipment. I had that for years. Now I try to do most by hand and what I have is not the high tech. My son struggles with his computers and power outs as well. He wants to buy something to protect it. It's good he can repair and he found parts and screens the school dumped on the schoolyard. He took a lot (don't ask what the place looks like but parts are hard to find. Everything is made to throw away. Such a waste).
I hope your son finds a good monitor and the airco or the transformation arrives soon. You are lucky to have the water. With us it's everything or nothing.

My son's monitor problem was solved by buying a new one. It cost him $150. Each dollar costs 127 bolivars, which is our currency. He already bought a new one.
The electricity problem will take longer to fix. I'm told that those who have had the same problem with the transformer on their street can go up to three months without that phase of electricity and, of course, without air conditioning.
I thank God that there is water. Today, water came through the pipes and we filled our tanks. We will have water for five days, until it comes back again.
These are situations that happen, and we learn to live with them. We just have to be more patient and continue to remain calm in the face of the situations that arise.

Problems and basic necessities are complicated in our latitudes, due to inflation. But I try to focus on other things, despite the daily storm, the bank of problems. Solve one at a time, the ones within our reach. All the other time, I redirect energy toward creative things, spending time with friends and learning. You learn when the company is pleasant or unpleasant @wakeupkitty.pal, and then create, despite all that daily chaos that overwhelms us. The pelicans reappear, the blue sky, I still have ultramarine blue. Oh, by the way, I have about 31 paintings painted; I'll show you the finished one soon.

I love to see the 31 or more. What isn't there can be created. You could be the one doing it. It's good to hear you are not out of blue yet. How much blue is remained, how about the other paint?
There's some blue left; it's a color that just begs to be used. I bought some 22ml pots of blue, white, black, and turquoise; they're gone. I've really painted, God.
I have twelve 280g sheets left. After that, I'll go back to smuggling blue cardstock. I'll go to the store; they were announcing they were doing maintenance. I'll see if it's available later.
I think chocolate cake makes everyone happy. I really love it. Especially the ones with lots of chocolate.
My son chose his own cake. He really likes chocolate and Oreos.
What shall I say except I forgot to post last week and deleted one of the shadow photos but here he is: La Linea.
The grumpy complaining short tempered figure makes me laugh. It was a December 5th present of my daughter together with 2 DVS of this little line drew guy.

Summer brings warm, sunny days. Ducks naturally move to water. A pond, lake, or stream offers a cool place to be. These spots give them a break from the heat.
Watching them swim looks relaxing. For ducks, swimming is not just for fun. It helps them keep their bodies cool. They stay comfortable even in hot weather.
