STEEM Monthly Charts: October, 2025 - Does another ugly month signal a coming turnaround?

in #cryptocurrency2 days ago (edited)

September came to a close on Monday, so it's time for another look at the monthly numbers. In last month's post, I asked three questions:

  1. Will STEEM's monthly close in September be above or below the August close ($0.130205)?
  2. Will STEEM's price on December 31 close over or under the January close? (If it's below $0.258505, "As goes January, so goes the year?" will be true.)
  3. Will STEEM's price (US) Memorial Day, 2026 closing price be over or under the closing price on Labor Day, 2025? (Labor Day's price was $0.12741.)

Here are the answers that were posted:

Both guesses got the answer to Q1 wrong. Q2 and Q3 are still undecided. Based on today's price of $0.123, Q2 and Q3 are both presently in the "under" territory.

Now, let's move on to the results.

If I'm not mistaken, it appears that the September closing price of $0.117176 was STEEM's 2nd lowest monthly close of all times. The only lower month was $0.099 in February, 2017, when the price was on the way to its all time low on March 10. All in all, this September was not a fun month for the STEEM investor.

Now, let's get on to the visuals.

Wrapping up

If there's any optimistic news for the investor, it's these two things:

  1. After that February, 2017 low, STEEM's price came close to doubling in March of 2017, tripling by April, advanced by a factor of 10 by May, and increased by a factor of 49 within a year.
  2. As we saw in last week's post, it seems that the last echoes of inflation triggered by the Q1 delisting of SBDs on the Upbit exchange have mostly settled down, and - starting in late July - the daily production of new STEEM is on the decline again.

Does this low also signal a turnaround? Maybe the 10% decline in September signaled capitulation? There's no way of knowing, but we can hope.

Finally

Here are this month's questions (just for fun):

  1. October 31 closing price: up or down from September's close of $0.117176?
  2. December 31: Over/under the 2025 opening price of $0.258505?
  3. Memorial Day, 2026: Over/under the (US) 2025 Labor Day price of 0.12741?

Post your answers in a reply.

Here are my answers to the questions. I'm not changing anything from last month.

October 31 closing price: up or down from September's close of $0.117176?

  • Up

December 31: Over/under the 2025 opening price of $0.258505?

  • Under

Memorial Day, 2026: Over/under the (US) 2025 Labor Day price of 0.12741?

  • Over

I think only the answers to the last question are difficult ;-)

  1. October 31 closing price: Up
  2. December 31: Under
  3. Memorial Day, 2026: Up.

I agree, but if we see a turnaround like 2017, we could be pleasantly surprised by the December result.

I think it could be - 😅

December 31: Over/under the 2025 opening price of $0.25

I don't understand this reply. There are three questions there, but I'm not clear what you're answering on any of them. Can you clarify, please?

Ok, I think it could be.

October 31 closing price: up or down from September's close of $0.117176?

  • Up

December 31: Over/under the 2025 opening price of $0.258505?

  • up

Memorial Day, 2026: Over/under the (US) 2025 Labor Day price of 0.12741?

  • up

Since inflation is decreasing. On the other hand, various projects on the platform have increased. staking programs are being introduced. So overall I think it will definitely go up which I don't expect.

Bro it's already 0.1219 steem price

Well If you think logically Btc rate day by day Grow up
it cross 120
it's current price already 121966

  1. Well i think so October 31 closing price will be up

  2. over the 2025 December 31 i think so it's opening price will be 0.258505

  3. Memorial Day, 2026: Over/under the (US) 2025 Labor Day price of 0.12741?

Ans : Over

Not sure I follow. You're saying that all three answers will be above the threshold?
