The Elites Want Your Job: You Are Nothing More Than An ExpensesteemCreated with Sketch.

The conference took place at Davos as it does each year. This is the annual gathering where those who control the world seek to increase said control. Okay, maybe that is a bit skeptical of what takes place but I am not one who trusts them.

There was an interesting article that appeared discussing what is taking place. It is something I wrote about in the past and aligns with what I think is taking place.

Technology is moving ahead at a rapid pace. I do not think anyone can deny this. Artificial intelligence, robotics, and 3D printing are all making huge strides. I would not be surprised to see each of these mainstream within 5 years.

While this is all beneficial on one hand, it is devastating on another. There is one commonality with each of these technologies. They all are job killers.

Thus, I foresee technological unemployment as a major issue going forward. I get a lot of brush back from those with the view that the past equals the future. After all, technology always created more jobs than it destroyed. This time will be no different.

I think this is a very dangerous outlook. Leaving that aide, it is also completely wrong and the talk around Davos verifies this.

Executives at the major corporations have a mantra they espouse when it comes to technology and jobs. They like to say how they are just making up for the shortage in workers. Technology helps them do this. Let me ask you a question: do you think these people will stop once the shortfall is filled? I think it likely they keep using said technology to replace the rest of the people working in that field.

Then there is the "we will retrain workers to something more fulfilling". Yeah, can you see that happening on a wide spread basis? Can you see tens of millions of workers, in the United States alone, being trained to do other jobs that also, most likely, can be automated. Do not forget, AI means that it is a lot more than manual labor at risk.

The reality of our business world today is that we live in a 90 day cycle. The mega corporations are so powerful that they pull all the strings. Thus, we are forced to acknowledge that almost all decisions are made on the 90 day reporting basis. Executives can talk about having long term vision but the truth is missing the quarter a few times in a row means replacement. It is really that simple.

Employees are nothing more than an expense. That is what it boils down to. In private, at Davos, these people admit as such. Why eliminate 10% of the workforce when almost all of it can be gone? That is what they are asking.

When people say that technology will always create more jobs, they are looking at a world that no longer exists. Our present system puts the power in the hands of a few. We live in a corporatocracy these days. Those in power have no interest in creating more jobs. Their goal is to eliminate as many as they can.

Kai0Fu Lee summed it up best:

In an interview, he said that chief executives were under enormous pressure from shareholders and boards to maximize short-term profits, and that the rapid shift toward automation was the inevitable result.

“They always say it’s more than the stock price,” he said. “But in the end, if you screw up, you get fired.”

Automation saved money. Gone are the paychecks every two weeks. The company benefit package shrinks as matching 401K and health benefits are gone. Vacation and sick time are no longer needed. It is a win all around.

Except for the employees of course. But, then again, they do not matter in this equation.

This is where the scarcity system is leading us. We are seeing this all over the world. The West has executives who spew the mantra I mentioned above. In the East, they are outright open about it. They intend to create companies that operate without any, or as few, people.

To some, this might sound like a DAO. While a DAO is an autonomous organization, the difference is in who has access to the ownership. With what we are presently witnessing, this is feeding into the hands of the 3%. Ultimately, few outside of that will participate.

This is why what we are doing on here is so important. It is also why the infighting needs to stop. Humanity is fast approaching a financial crossroads where the average person, whatever he or she has left, is going away. They do not even need to collapse the economy to do this although I believe they will to accelerate the process. When one losses his or her income, it is only a matter of time before all wealth accumulated goes away. The majority of people cannot sustain a hit for more than a month or two.

Cryptocurrency is ushering in a era of abundance. It is not built upon the scarcity mindset. Sure, we see many who still carry that with them on here. It is difficult to get away from it. However, as our systems evolve, it will be easier to see what we are offering and how all of humanity can benefit.

There are hundreds of millions of people, globally, who face being put out of work through automation. This is something that can take place within the next 10-15 years. Cryptocurrency and blockchain projects might be the only thing that can save them. It is a solution to a problem that otherwise will not be solved.

So far, maybe 100 million people even encountered cryptocurrency in any fashion. Most of them left when the bear market set in. This means they will be late in getting back here unless we can show them how valuable what we are doing is. Of course, this will not take place when people are fighting and screaming about how others are behaving.

We are involved in something much bigger than creating an alternative social media network. There is some serious stuff taking place.

They are shooting themselves in the foot. If people don't have money to spend, who will buy all the automated crap?

My view is debt is the solution. Private companies are increasing turning towards government debt to fund their decisions.

As long as they prop up the fiat system, nations can run debts and provide "everything for everyone". Publicize the debts while privatizing the profits.

Luxury products beyond anything the world has ever seen will be produced for the elite. How about private space travel for example? The unproductive masses who own nothing and won't be able to compete against automation will be exterminated eventually if nothing in our way thinking changes.

Exactly @baah

I believe that each corporation will require safe environment to function.

If people will be losing jobs, protests and tension will increase. new political powers may emerge and many of those corporations will find themself having real difficulties.

Just let's have a look at currently suffering countries: Venezuela, South Africa, Greece etc. Collapse of economy and lack of jobs and opportunities crashed this country to the point, that even biggest corporations are either gone or controlled by ruling authorities.

So it's not that simple. Most corporations will not survive if common people will struggle. I would rather imagine situation I've experienced while working in IBM in Dublin.

I've noticed number of unskilled employees from various different countries, religions and races to be hired to work during night-shift and they had pretty much no responsibilities. Night shift wasn't really doing much except of cleaning and chilling out. IBM had to hire mix of different people and they did.

In the future we can probably witness tons of jobs like this.

"Employees are nothing more than an expense."
Yes, that's called business. You are creating value for an employer. The employer creates the job, the employer can eliminate the job. It's not evil, it just is. The crypto economy allows you to create value on your own. Steemit is a perfect example, I can create an article that others deem valuable and be rewarded directly for it. As the new crypto economy matures because people independently create value, it will compete with the 'evil businesses'. We are already seeing this in the fintech/developer sector where coders are flocking from traditional banks to create/join blockchain startups.

Unfortunately its a necessary evil at this point in the west. If we didnt reduce our workforce through automation all the jobs would go oversees where people are willing to work for less.

A side effect of unions is that they are killing themselves. In a world economy local unions dont amount to much.

Little we can do to really change this trends so we need to adapt and be proactively accordingly to ensure our skillsets can still provide value to coming economies of scale.

When the machine does all the jobs, we become useless for them...this is one of the reasons why they want will reduce the population by 10 -15%... as my dear friend @joalvarez written:Bill Gates says If We Do A GOOD Job With VACCINES and HEALTH CARE We Will REDUCE the POPULATION BY 10 -15%
