We had to remove the old natural stone floor, so we needed some heavy equipment.

My father in law started demolishing the floor, it was a lot of noise.

In the old floor there was electrical heating, after demolishing it looked something like this :)

Next it was the toilet we had to remove :) besides the fact I don't like the fact using a toilet that has been used for years by a different family, it was outdated too..

zxerx7sipa.png
We had to call for some containers to get rid of all the debris.

We had a lot of help, this is my wife's uncle helping removing the kitchen.

It's almost like you built a new house! I love the kitchen and the bathroom tile. The garden house is marvelous! It is a dream house.

Thank you very much....it is indeed a dreamhouse..we are going to make great memories here !!

That was a massive undertaking and the results are fabulous. Would be cool to get a valuation and see how much value you added. You totally modernized it and made it your house which is a good way to start.

Thank you @cryptoandcoffee :) We will valueate it again, we have to for insurance purposes :) I think we did add some value , emotional value for sure lol..

Wow, that is pretty impressive. It looks like you are going to have an awesome home when everything is finished up!

I am sure we will @bozz :) loving it already, this weekend sitting in the garden early in the morning and all you can hear are the birds... just awesome...

ehi @verhp11, I love your post! You described it perfectly, step by step. and you did a beautiful job, I think you have golden hands !! nice to see how friends, but above all your son, participated in the construction! you are a lucky man. enjoy the new house :-))

thank you very much @road2horizon , we will enjoy it to the fullest. We are lucky with our sons, the have helped us out big time !!

What a great renovation project! I love that you did so many things yourself. It emphasizes the feeling that the house is YOURS. How long did it take you to renovate? Just wonder as you've done quite a lot of work.

I like how the living room turned out. The floor is very nice, I would probably use wood too. The kitchen is cool as well..

Congratulations on finishing your project! It must be an amazing feeling now :)

Glad that curie picked your post :) Have a lovely weekend!

Thank you very much @delishtreats , the feeling is indeed amazing... Enjoying every minute in the new house. It took about two months total, but the went by like if it was just a week :)

You're welcome to vist :) Thanks you :)

Must have been quite a job.

Liked the pic with the beer tap the most btw ...

Best feeling in the world, that must be, to have a place you can call your own, especially after you've shaped it your way.
Congrats on that achievement and a successful renovation.
May you and your kids live many happy years in that house

@hlezama , thank you very much for your kind words ..
