Sonsbeek Park Arnhem - Art (Market)
A last minute desciscion to visit Sonsbeek Park in Arnhem. There should be an Art Market...
The weather is all of a sudden better than expected. The fog is gone. I go by train to Arnhem Central Station.
Here I follow the signs to the exit Sonsbeek the walk is not as far as expected and the white watermill (still in use) is easy to find. Products can be bought.
A plus: free internet at this point. Strangely enough my phone automatically sings in.

You can follow several paths through the park. What you will find is not a neat park with nicely cut grass. A part is meant for a special race of cows. Once it's too cold they will spend the winter at the city farm (a place which you can visit, not a normal farm).

If you search for some event you will find it most likely nearby the villa which is a restaurant today.
The weater is great so many sit on the grass, no matter the geese.

Time to have a closerlook at the art... and handmade / homemade. I have my doubts.

I like these and saw them in Hinterzarten (Germany) on a market as well. No way the seller made them himself.

If you like a stand on the market it's not for free.
It's not all art, more about skills. Knitting, crocheting, homemade soap, jewelry, honey.. Art id hard to find.

In the park is a deer park included.

The best art is for sure not the french fries seller. It looks gross, burned and is fried in old oil.
The best art you find in the oark itself. The architecture of the buildings and the use of the park with eye for nature (there's also a part of forest).

Park Sonsbeek is 24/7 open. There is more than one entree. The park is attached to two other parks and in thevNorth to Burger's Zoo and National park 'De Hoge Veluwe'.

A cool location to have a family picnic but with the deers around, they might crash into the feast. 😊
The best part for me is the construction of this waterway or should I call it a drainage system.
The deers are behind a fence and it's forbidden to disturb them same for the cows.
It's a water mill. The power of water is used to move the mill stones and make flour out of wheat.
It's like I had an interesting sightseeing activity today. Thank you for showing us around.
You are welcome. I liked walking around too. 😁
