EXCLUSIVE REPORT
In a world where everyone is obsessed with "fashion" and "social norms," one brave soul dared to say: Why get dressed up?

Are you one of those souls who lets fashion designers and especially your friends dominate you and force you to buy the latest fashion even though you don't have a dime to spare? Then take an example from the only person who has plucked up the courage and doesn't care about fashion. She wears what she wants and only needs two items of clothing that she can wear alternately. One on her body, and one washed on the clothesline.

"Why should I dress up and pretend to be someone else? Clothes that don't fit well and give you all sorts of nasty diseases because they're made of plastic, the labels itch, your organs are pinched and you also get an allergy? When it comes down to it, people are never charmed by the way you walk around. It's too modern, too old-fashioned, too big, too small, too bright, too boring, so why bother when I can walk around comfortably without filling the pockets of salespeople and fashion designers with my meagre wages for which I have to work hard? Besides, I'm already running and trotting all day long and I have to carry enough stuff already. You have to be crazy to want to carry the burden. The weight of what we carry is a burden on the body and also on the environment. A person doesn't need all that extra stuff to feel unhappy. The time of the constricting corset and tight trousers is long gone. Let's act normal, then we're already crazy enough."

Comfort Revolution

Q: "Don’t you think you should have dressed more professionally?"
A: "Why? Does my ability to be a doctor or my knowledge increase if I am dressed up?"

She had barely uttered those words when people followed her advice en masse. A sigh of relief went through the country and everyone said: "How lucky that the doctor said so. Now I can finally be myself without a care in the world and concentrate on work, family and hobby without feeling uncomfortable in all those clothes that make me feel like canned fish."

@gertu’s new dressing style, a bathrobe, led to some fascinating observations:

  • Delivery men and pets don’t care.
  • Neighbours finally stopped wasting her time
  • The plants in the garden thrive, and the number of customers has tripled

*The only thing of importance is that the bathrobe is comfortable and has pockets."

Time goes by and allows a person to gain maturity in the way of seeing things. When I was young, I didn't care about fashions. I always dressed according to my own interests. At first I liked dark colors and then I changed to lighter colors. When I was once asked: what is your favorite color, I said without thinking twice... Blue!
Then I asked myself the question: why, if your favorite color is blue, do you always wear dark colors?
I didn't realize that this was really happening to me.
Since then I started buying blue clothes, shoes, handbags, pants, underwear... etc.
What never changed in me is the idea of not being fashionable. I dress the way I like.
Once a neighbor asked me why I didn't always dress the way I did at that time. To which I answered... I get dressed to go to my office in a different way, because I have to attend to some people who would not give me importance if I went out dressed in a loose-fitting gown. dctor's ogwn But in my house I like to be in a bathrobe and loose clothing and I don't care if you, my neighbors, dislike that. Never again has that neighbor said anything to me about how I dress. At home I am always comfortable, that's why I don't like going out much.

During my childhood I felt uncomfortable in the clothes I was forced to wear, itchy, hurt and my skin was always infected. Later I wore dark colours. I believe it makes me more comfy and I don't like to attract attention in bright shouting colours. I never had a favourite colour, today I would say it's green, although green and green are not the same.

No one with us cares. Home is comfy clothes and we don't receive visitors and it feels more like a holiday mood if we can be who we are.

It sounds as if you made that neighbour think 🤣

I doubt I was ever fashionable but I've been never bullied because of my choice of clothes. I assume it's not too bad if strangers stop to say they like my (old) dresses.

The red dress is not very handy to garden or be with the pets which alsobplays a role if it comes to what I wear plus the cold.

Many neighbors around where I live do not find me very sociable. I don't normally receive visitors, I don't sit in the evenings in front of my house to watch people parade by. I am not interested in any neighbor's life, unless they are sick and in need of my services. Otherwise I am at home with my son. Both of us working on something useful always.

I have more variety of colors, hehehe.

Thanks for your collaboration in the contests with the SP.

Happy weekend to you too.

I have no idea if people find me social. I guess it depends on whom you ask.

Congratulations!

My opinion: I like to be well presented, above all clean, organized, I DO NOT follow fashion, I respect people but I consider it absurd since it changes and obviously you have to go with the change which generates an unnecessary expense, what is important for me is to have several clothes according to the place I have to go.

The good thing about fashion is it reoeats itself. I go for what fits me and doesn't make me feel miserable most of the time. Clean is a good start.

Btw any plans to surf again?
