Sport - Bah!

The title says it all. Sports? I don't do that at least not all that woke nonsense like exercising for 30 minutes every day. That won't make an unhealthy person more athletic or muscular. Besides, everyone moves 30 minutes a day and calorie burn is nil. Any idea how many hours of running you need to trim off that Mars or Snickers? By the way, without a fast burn, you can forget all about it.

Fortunately, I have all friends with very busy and active lives who do none of the sports. We walk almost all day, cycle and drag and carry a lot without a break. So conversations are rarely about sports, and if the word is said (sports) the reaction from almost everyone will be: Bah!
By the way, the only exception is @lupega who runs through the neighbourhood every evening with at least 50 women in his wake, it must be the reason he is also known and lives in IKEA.

Sport, I don't need it. I'm quite happy once I can sit for 10 minutes without doing anything. I'm certainly not going to spend money to hang out with sweaty people who stuff themselves in the canteen afterwards with unhealthy, greasy junk, "cozy" sporty hopping around according to some pattern.

Sport is er in allerlei soorten en maten, maar over de Sports come in all shapes and sizes, but we never hear about most of them. It's always just jogging and playing football.
Should you go crossbow shooting, dancing or have a mind sport to pass the time you can ask me.

Reading your post, I have an impression that you already having different activities that keep you active and also helping to keep your muscles in form. I do not think that “doing sport” means going to some sport association or being a part of any sportive team, sportive activities should be there for us to help to give some exercises for the muscle group that we do not use while we do our daily routine. I think stretching so that we keep our ligament more stretchy and joint that are not stiff is very important and for that such exercises like Yoga or Tai Chi are very useful not only for body but for mind. In regards to Gym, I think it is still very good maybe not for everyone, those who are sensitive to sweat may avoid it but there are some work out machine and also sometimes you may have good instructor who will help with correct equipment and also often being among other people who do train the person may train harder rather when he will be doing the same at home.

I think important is to do regular exercises and maybe one need more another less.

I also believe that playing sports does not mean having to go and participate with any group or associations.

I don't think you can convince @wakeupkitty to go work out at a gym or find a trainer.

We all need some type of exercise, but many of us realize that we don't do it when we are already suffering from deterioration, like me.

I know the person have to come to it him/herself. I did attend gym in the past and really enjoyed it. Indeed, we often realize what we need too late.

It is important to exercise, I did for many years. Not because I saw others, but because I liked doing it. Now I'm older and something hurts me all the time.
I don't lose hope that at any moment I'll start hiking again.

 yesterday

Nooo, no way I will pay for excersice. I am sure I am way more active than most people. What I could could use is more sleep.

I have been there and I can't say I find it motivating to workout between bodybuilders watching themselves in the mirror. In another life I will do kickboxing, bow and spear. 😁 My friend will like that 🤣

This is one of the things people constantly misunderstand. Being constantly active and moving counts as exercise—you're sweating and expending energy without needing to buy a racket or drive to a gym.

When I first moved here, I was doing house projects, carpentry, and DIY work from morning until I collapsed into bed. And my partner—the smarty-pants— with his toxic positivity, saying I wasn't doing any exercise. I swear, the energy I exerted then was probably triple what he spent going to his job!

What did he think? That I was mentally projecting, moving objects around, and fixing the house by just lying on the couch?

Magic?

 yesterday

A bit of magic wouldn't be bad. Imagine the miles women walk, what they lift, carry, 24/7, although there are who spend their lives on the couch. At times I wished I was one of them.

There are human beings who do not value the work of others, simply because they are ignorant.

(@lupega who runs through the neighbourhood every evening with at least 50 women in his wake, it must be the reason he is also known and lives in IKEA.) hahaha,50 women and a dog, when we finished the exercise, only the dog and I arrived hahaha, the 50 women could NOT reach us

I congratulate you on the harem you wear when exercising, and on the little dog, poor thing! the races he will take to keep you away from girls.

hahaha, The dog is the favorite of the 50 women, he runs so that no one fights over him, the owner of the harem is the dog hahaha

hahaha,50 women and a dog, poor dog, no wonder it runs away, now people see a dog and it seems like they see a beautiful newborn, they don't know how to pet it, even the poor animal looks annoyed hahaha.
Sofia's comment : @lupega, I imagine you running next to the dog and the 50 women behind you, I couldn't say who runs faster, the dog or YOU, to get away from that harem as @gertu says, hahaha

 yesterday

🤣🤣🤣 you know what? I wait for you at the finish with a milk coffee

NO cheering and pompons though🍀♥️

And for the dog, water and something to eat, NO petting, That is not nutritious, ,I speak for the dog hahaha

 yesterday

I liked the way you described the sport, and the part about Lupe with 500 women behind her was very visual. As long as it's not with brooms or something to hit her, she can escape the confines of Lego worlds.
I think we're left with the most integral sport, chess. It might have a little influence on the organ that's been used the least lately. Should the brain be a muscle, one that can be trained?

 yesterday

Inam sure the brsin can be trained and it would be good if more would donit but I guess it's hard once brain rot started.

@lupega will be fine unless he keeps saying NO, although women might find him even more interesting and start a bet who can make him say YES.

I didn't expect anything less from you. Not, always; you make me smile with your post. I don't practice any sports either hahaha, but I would like to be able to walk every day. I don't, usually something happens and I have to change the walks for other things.

 yesterday

I recognise that. I walk uo and down staurs kately from basement to attic and yesterday walked with a friend to the station, next through the Lego event, a part of the mall and back to the station and home. It's enough. The dogs let themselves out.

Two days ago I went up stairs, down stairs, lifted weights and the next day my knees woke up stuck, they don't bend.
The lack of exercise has me bad, I haven't even been able to go out for a 30-minute walk like I did before. I haven't walked for three months, and how I've needed it. My body is asking for it and I can't do anything at the moment.
