Steemit Challenge Season 27 Application - Learn to Become a Beginner Youtuber
Greetings to all our friends,
I am @walictd, a Computer Science graduate who has been actively posting on Steemit since early 2021, and am also active in content creation and graphic design. I also have experience in the world of YouTube, having created short films, vlogs, travel, camping, cinematic, Islamic (da'wah) content, reviews, and movie predictions. On this occasion, I would like to propose an idea for a YouTube learning class for the Steemit Challenge Season 27.
My goal in joining this program is to guide participants from zero (starting from creating a YouTube account) to proficiency (at least being able to optimize channels and videos). Like other classes, it will run for 6 weeks. I sincerely hope that the class I am opening will spark participants' interest in using YouTube as a platform for creativity and self-development, in line with the spirit of Steemit.
Similar to the SLC that ran last night, the theme I have chosen will last for 6 weeks (in accordance with the Steemit Challenge format). If I am selected for SLC season 26, I will publish 1 post per week containing material + assignments.
Here is the 6-week schedule that I would like to provide:
Week 1 | I will give the title “YouTube Basics & Creating an Account”
- The material I want to cover includes: Introduction to YouTube, how to create an account, and learning the basic features.
- The tasks I will assign are: Starting with the practice of creating a YouTube account, providing evidence in the form of photos and screenshots, then posting the experience on Steemit.
Week 2 | I will give the title “Determining Your Niche & Creating Your First Content”
- The material I will share includes: Tips on choosing a niche based on your interests, how to make simple recordings.
- The assignments I will give are: Choose a niche, make a short video of 1 to 5 minutes, how to upload to YouTube, share the link + tell us about your experience.
Week 3 | I will give the title “Video Editing & Upload Optimization”
- The material I will share includes: An introduction to editing (CapCut/Filmora/etc.), choosing titles, descriptions, tags, and hashtags.
- The assignment I will give is: Participants will be asked to upload 1 edited video, write a description, and use hashtags and tags correctly.
Week 4 | I will give the title “Branding & Thumbnails”
- The material I want to share is: How to create attractive thumbnails and set up channel banners.
- The tasks can include: creating thumbnails and channel banners, uploading them to YouTube accounts, and participants are also asked to post screenshots/photos as proof on Steemit.
Week 5 | I will give the title “Analytics & Consistency”
- The material I will provide is: Reading YouTube Studio, then looking at viewing hours, to upload strategies.
- The assignment I will give could be: Participants are asked to write a brief analysis from YouTube Studio about your video and so on.
Week 6 | The title I will give is “Final Project (Channel Ready to Air)”
- Materials I provide: From long-term strategies and ways to attract viewers to maintaining consistency.
- Assignments I want to give: Participants are asked to upload their best video (with excellent content), share the link, and provide a summary of their 6-week experience.
To ensure that participants are not disappointed with the results of their YouTube learning, I always remind them of YouTube's Prohibitions & Rules that Must Be Obeyed. I remind them of these rules so that their channels remain safe and are not deleted by YouTube. Here are some of the main rules that must be obeyed:
- Remind participants that they will not upload copyrighted content (such as music, movies, other people's videos) without permission.
- It is strictly prohibited to upload violent, discriminatory, or pornographic content.
- Participants are also not allowed to spam, such as using misleading titles, repetitive comments, or excessive clickbait.
- Participants must not purchase fake subscribers/followers as this risks the channel being shut down.
- Maintain originality in the content you upload – prioritize your own work.
- Uphold YouTube community guidelines so that your channel remains safe and sustainable in the long term.
By complying with these rules, participants can learn comfortably and their YouTube channels will be safe from warnings or bans.

Thank you for the support, hopefully what we hope for will come to pass. I'm glad you like my idea.
Terimakasih...
