Summary Report | Team Wordsmiths | Steemit Challenge S24 | Fiction Week 6: "The Mystery of Project Z"

Dear fellow Steemians!
Welcome back to the sixth weekly report of the Steemit Challenge Season 24, which marks the final week. This report is proudly brought to you by Team Wordsmiths.
This was the final week of the challenge, and while many participants did a great job, a few still made some mistakes by not following the rules properly.
We found three entries that were below the minimum requirement of 500 words, and one entry that exceeded the maximum limit of 900 words. We also found one entry without a country tag. Because of these issues, they lost some marks, which could have been avoided if they had read the rules more carefully.
There were no cases of plagiarism, but this time we found a few entries with AI detectors showing some AI-generated content percentages. We did not notify the participants (due to low percentages) but deducted marks accordingly.
As far as I know, no one questioned our moderation remarks this week. We did our best to point out both the good and the bad in their posts in a way that was helpful and respectful.
Total Entries
That being said, we are still very happy with how this week turned out. We received a total of 35 entries, which is a decent response.

He closed his eyes. Did he even have the right to manipulate the past? To play the role of world watchmaker?
But an image forced itself upon him, his grandfather, hunched over his notebooks, muttering in the dim laboratory light. He wasn't here by accident.
He nodded.
"Send me."
The machine activated. The humming returned, deeper and more intimate. He felt his body stretching, compressing, like a long-awaited note.
And then there was silence.
He woke up in an alley, in the rain, in Singapore. Surveillance drones circled overhead. He was still holding the metal box: Project Z, now reactivated, blinking slightly...

As the silver sky darkened, his grandfather grew quiet.
“Dineth… I need to tell you something important.”
Dineth looked up.
“This place won’t hold forever. It was never meant to. And you... you have to go back.”
“No,” Dineth said, tears already falling. “Not yet. Please.”
“You’ve been holding on too tightly, my boy. Letting grief become your purpose. But your life... it’s still ahead of you. You’ve got ideas that the world needs. You’ve got a heart that still wants to love.”
Dineth clutched his hand. “But how do I live in a world without you?”
His grandfather smiled. “By remembering that I never truly left. Everything you need is already inside you. You came looking for a goodbye... but what you really needed was permission to move forward.”
The light began to return.
“Remember what I always told you, science only explains how. Love reminds us why.”
Dineth woke up in his room. No shaking walls. No glowing box. Just silence, and a soaked pillow...
