When it comes to tokens, dapps, and community movements, I need to be hit a couple times on my feed to make it onto my radar. That happened this week when people I follow including @rosatravels and @blacklux both posted about a new token from a long running service/community I have come across in my travels here over the years.

That entity is the @Qurator teamwho have announced that they are starting to distribute Qurator tokens. • Original Content Rewards: I have seen this group engaging and supporting the authors on STEEM over many months, and that is potentially going to become a life-saver if chicken little is right in dreading the next fork. I won't get drawn into a fork tirade in this post but I believe rewarding the quality content producers is PARAMOUNT here otherwise curation is useless when you are left with quit shit posts. This is the proclaimed essence of @qurator.

• Passive Income: Increasing my stake for financial reasons is a good justification for the time I spend away from real life on STEEM. Passive income is a way to stay engaged, be supportive of the community and unplug to enjoy my life knowing I am making progress. You gain passive income for holding the tokens and delegating to @qurator.

• Limited Supply: There will only ever be 100k tokens. This means that the early land grab (NOW!) will be rewarding. It also inspires the economist in me knowing that scarcity is a virtue and the key to inflation and value.

Truth be told, I have never been a member of the Qurator Team or really had much involvement with them on my steem journey so far. I have seen them in my periphery focusing on curating original and high quality content posts by real people and know they are legit. I also appreciate the industriousness of creating the QuratorToken, to build something big on this blockchain rooted in the notion of sharing some of the curation rewards to support the project.

Holy shit I enjoy someone who gets off his ass and does what everyone else is complaining that steemit.com isn't doing.....but that's another post.

I have delegated SP to Qurator, and will now receive daily payouts in tokens. I am a smaller SP (Dolphin in training?) guy but am hapy to stake my SP in a project that pays and supports original content. Token payouts are equivalent to 0.02 tokens for every 100 SP delegated while payouts are distributed once per day.

What I would suggest is you check out the post and proposition and make your own decision. While I am fishing for a nice @qurator upvote in exchange for leveraging my masterful word-smithing prowess and legions of followers, you can check the blockchain for evidence of my delegation which is putting my money where my mouth is.

Nothing is guaranteed on the blockchain and there are ground-floor opportunities so plentiful it can make your head spin. Do your research and put your stake to work by selecting the ones your believe in and have the best chance of success.
