Story of a fracture patient!

Hi, there! How are you? I hope that you are doing great. Welcome to my post. In this post, I shared a short story of a patient who sustained a fracture!

An expatriate was brought to me by her sponsor. In the morning, she fell in the bathroom and sustained injuries to her left wrist and the upper part of her left eye. The upper eyelid was black due to ecchymosis. It wasn't troubling her that much. There was no internal eye injury and vision was normal.

The left wrist was troubling her. It was swollen, severely tender, and somewhat deformed. I suggested an X-ray. The X-ray revealed fractures at the distal ends of both forearm bones! What a suffering for her!

I had no system to put plaster of Paris (POP). Hence, I referred her to the regional hospital to put a POP and consult an orthopedic doctor! I added some painkillers also!

Have you suffered from any fractures?

Thanks for stopping by!
