An MRI showed I have a bulging disc in my lower back. But I know a lot's going on with my upper back and neck - some of that was probably before the bulging disc while some likely occurred after to compensate. I'm not sure if there's a true diagnosis for it, but I've certainly let my posture get out of hand.
I'm about 250 pounds and am probably about 6 feett tall, but my back makes me look shrunken a bit - closer to 5 ft 10, and most people don't even believe I weigh that much because of it.

Ah, a disc issue. I didn't mention in my earlier comment that, in addition to my gym workouts, I also own an inversion table that I use to keep things in my back in good alignment. Inversion tables are really good with getting the spine to decompress, which does wonders for the kind of issues you're having. Still, it would be wise to first talk to your back doctor to see if it would be okay to start using one, but if he says it's okay, it should help you a lot, and get that bulging disc some breathing room. :)
