The shelters I volunteer in (in countries like Hungary & Serbia), are always in full capacity. They have adoptions every week, yet the same amount of animals are constantly being brought in, as being adopted. It's a never ending cycle due to the huge amounts of breeders and lack of castration programs and education on the subject.
So thank you for helping and creating awareness!
And I'm sure you will find your next rescue soon, at least be happy for him to already have a loving home <3
