Karina Oliani, a 35-year-old woman, becomes the first person to traverse the world's largest permanent lava lake, which is in Ethiopia’s Erta Ale Volcano.

Karina is one of Brazil’s most popular explorers. She is a doctor, the CEO of a production company, a helicopter pilot, a diver, a snowboarder, a wakeboarder and a mountaineer.

She has a passion for adventure and has recently returned from an expedition to the Ethiopia-Danakil Depression-one of the most inhospitable regions on Earth.
