My Favorite Brand of Milk

When you think of milk in Nigeria, one brand that stands out is Peak Milk. For decades, Peak has been like a household friend. From the blue-and-white tin to the smaller sachets in shops, it’s a name that almost everyone here grew up with. It’s not just a drink; it’s part of our culture.

Why Peak

Peak Milk is one brand you don’t just consume but it is recognized and trusted Its packaging alone is iconic, and its history dates back to the 1950s, which shows how long it has been around. That kind of legacy is not easy to maintain if the product isn’t good.

The creamy taste of Peak is one thing that keeps me coming back. Unlike some brands that taste thin or watered down, Peak feels rich and filling. It also has a lot of nutritional value calcium for strong bones, protein for energy, and vitamins like A and D that keep the body healthy. Their slogan “It’s in you” communicates how much the brand wants to be seen which to them is more than just milk but a part of life.

To me it is Peak because it’s reliable. from my childhood into the stage adulthood it has been there I’ve had it in different meals pap, custard tea and even in recipes like cakes and pancakes. It’s not just my favorite milk brand, but that which has remained constant over the years.

Benefits of Milk

Milk in general is one of the most nourishing foods you can take. Milk helps build strong bones and teeth because it contains calcium. It supports muscle growth and body repair because of the protein content. The vitamins it contains strengthen the immune system, while the fat and carbohydrate provide balanced energy. Even hydration is part of it since milk is mostly water. It’s one drink that benefits children, youths, and the elderly alike.

My Unique Milk Recipe

One of my favorite ways to enjoy Peak is through fruit salad
It's a simple and easy thing you just need different fruits of your choice
Cucumbers watermelon banana berries pineapples and others you would like to add them you would proceed in chopping them into small sizes mix them together and then pour in your peak milk making sure you add a generous quantity I don't like dried one so I use tin
You can chill it if you love chilled ones and it is ready very simple

The Price of Peak Milk

Currently, in my area a tin of Peak Milk goes for around ₦1200, while a small sachet goes for₦250. Converting at the rate of ₦200 = 1 Steem, a tin of Peak Milk is about 6 Steem, and a sachet is roughly 1.25 Steem.

To me peak milk is that quality over quantity sometimes I go for it's other brand produced by same company which is the three crowns milk

Final Thoughts

Peak Milk is more than j my favorite brand but a part of my story whenever I remember childhood experiences it is not left out from it consistency over decades to the nourishment it brings and the recipes it fits into, it is unmatched i Whether in tea, pap, or fruit salad , Peak always delivers the same creamy goodness.
