RE: Why Steem stakeholders should embrace AI incubation

in #ai2 days ago

The ongoing debate has led many to believe that AI = bad = end of discussion here on Steemit. That mindset is the main reason why this thing never grows. Good/honest use of AI = EXTREMELY GOOD!

Exactly. This has always been my opinion about all forms of automation, not just AI. It's a tool, so it can be used well or it can be used badly. Trying to cultivate the blockchain without powerful automation is like the early days of the Internet when search pages used to be maintained by hand. It could never have grown under those conditions.

If we want scale here, we must have lots and lots of really good automation that helps people to establish the connections with each other. And now, that means really good AI, too.

I'm seeing so many possibilities just from running the @thoth.test account, I just wish someone with funding and a bullpen of developers would sit down and think carefully about the opportunities. The reward system and the free transaction cost gives AI a platform that doesn't exist anywhere else. I just don't understand why nobody with the right resources seems to see it.

Bottom line, the site is not going to fix itself and WILL lose more people as time goes on. Something needs to be done, and soon, to turn the tide.

Yep. That's definitely what I think. As they say, if you're not growing, you're dying. I'm in favor of growth. ;-)
