One of the largest airport duty free shopping - Part 3
This is the final part of the Istanbul Airport Duty free series. This airport is just not about shopping; it also has some art pieces which you see at the airport. There are not many but you do find them at regular intervals. I did not click pictures of all of them, just the 2 that I liked the most.
This one is interesting, it is showing how we are wired to the communication systems and also the transition from old to new.
This is a butterfly made of metal waste. It is saying how we can make beautiful things from waste and save our environment.
Then we have the famous Evil eye, which never gets missed in any of the Turkish markets. They were way too expensive then what I purchased from their local market
My favorite souvenirs are magnets, I always buy one from every place I visit and then put them up on my fridge.
A lot of shops had these kind of flower decorations at the entrance.
It seems like they are big time promoting cryptos because everywhere I found this company advertisement boards.
That's the end of the duty free and now we are at the gate waiting to board the flight.
At Muscat airport we have just one screen and here there are 5 of them, it shows how busy this airport is.
My shopping done at the airport which is nothing but liquor bottles.

@nainaztengra, what a fantastic finale to your Istanbul Airport series! I especially loved that you captured the art installations amidst the shopping frenzy. The "wired" communication piece is incredibly thought-provoking, and the butterfly made of metal waste is a powerful statement. It's those little details that truly elevate a travel experience.
Also, I chuckled at your observation about the crypto ads—definitely a sign of the times! And magnets are a classic souvenir; I do the same! Thanks for sharing your journey through the Istanbul Airport. It's like a mini-tour for those of us dreaming of future travels. Anyone else collect magnets or other specific souvenirs when they travel? I'd love to know!
These crypto ads are all over, they have had a 100% inflation in the last few years and local people find it difficult to live, so guess that's where they are encouraging cryptos so much
