The beauty of the Sunset Beach

Among the three scenic and picturesque beaches in Ontario, Canada, that are unsupervised and open to the public is Sunset Beach. Along with the other two beaches, Sunset Beach is also situated on the shorelines of Lake Ontario where the local and foreign visitors can have the times of their lives. There, the visitors can take in the warming rays of the sun or take a leisurely walk on the soft beach sands. They can either immerse themselves in the cool and refreshing waters of the lake, relax under the serene beach environment in the open skies or most importantly watch the beautiful sight of the sun sinking behind the mountains for which the beach is named for.
The precise location of the beach is the Grantham ward, which is present alongside the shorelines of Waterfront Trial and Lake Ontario. The visitors can easily access the Sunset Beach from the Wellands Canal Parkway Trail as it is situated very near to the beach. The area covered by the beach is approximately 1200 feet which mean that the place is extensive enough for everyone to enjoy and have a great time.
Till 2015, the name of the beach was Municipal Beach, and from that time to the present, the name of the beach is Sunset Beach as the City Council approved the request of name changing in 2015.
There are a lot of facilities for enjoyment at the beach. As far as the beach amenities are concerned, the visitors can get access to convenient parking nearby the parking lot at the beach. The parking is highly accessible and free of charge.
Also, there is an extensive playground for children and the adults so that they can have a great time doing fun filed activities. The playground will give the parents ample opportunity to play with their child, run along, play tag, volleyball and chase them till the playground fills with the children giggles, laughter and screaming with delight.
The picnic spots of the beach are the most lovable attractions on Sunset Beach. These spots foster the gathering of family and friends under the open skies where they can lay their picnic mats, sunbath, read books, relax and eat the picnic snacks they bring with themselves.
For small and personal small boats there is a public, boat launching ramp. This means that when the weather and the lake’s water is friendly, the sunset beach also offers boating recreation facility but only in the daylight.
