I talk about this sort of thing a lot to whoever will listen.

It would be a different matter entirely if citizens explicitly consented to the terms of their citizenship, namely their domination by the state and it's providence of supposed protections in exchange for tribute. Then perhaps taxation wouldn't be quite so coerced, and at least people would have a better chance of understanding what they're getting themselves into with subservience to government.

Still I'd rather see the whole delusion of states and governments eradicated.

Yes, citizenship defines as a duty to protect in return for a duty of allegiance.
It is settled law that the govt has no duty to protect, ergo, there can be no citizens.
