Fish coelacanth
Coelacanth fish allegedly existed since the Devonian era about 380 million years ago, until now its form has not changed.
Coelacanth is an ancient fish originating from the oldest surviving branch of evolution from jawed fish. Previously, the fish was thought to have extinct since the end of the Cretaceous period 65 million years ago.
But then it turns out these fish are found still alive. This fish lives only in the waters of western South Africa and the waters of eastern Indonesia respectively called Latimeria chalumnae and Latimeria menadoensis.Di Indonesia ancient fish Coelacanth can be found in Talise waters, North Minahasa and Malalayang waters, Gulf of Manado, North Sulawesi.
Coelacanth Fish habitat is located more than 180 meters deep with a maximum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius. In Indonesia, especially around Manado and North Minahasa waters, this species is locally named after the sea king fish.
