In the wild, I think they run the lions off, to avoid inter breeding. She couldn't run him off, so.... The handlers should have known this! They could have sent him to another zoo.

Well I knew, and they do it for a living; so they SHOULD know! Being Professionals and all....
I wonder why they didn't understand such a basic lioness instinct? It IS their business after all!

I think they were just not thinking like a Lioness. Bad mistake, with tough consequences!
