SC S25W1: Drawing Kodomo Anime.

Assalamu Alaikum everyone. I am very happy to participate in this Steemit challenge in the art of the anime world. We all know about the popularity of Kodomo anime. I also like watching anime with different characters from this world. However, I am quite interested in this challenge of drawing characters from popular series. Because in this opportunity I get ideas about many basic techniques of anime drawing which further accelerates my art creativity.

Anyway, today I have chosen a Kodomo character according to the requirements of the challenge which I will draw. I have used the characteristics of the character and bright colors in the drawing to make it look attractive. Here I will draw the character of Doraemon from the Doraemon series. First of all, I am presenting below what I need for my drawing:

Drawing Materials

• Offset Paper.
• Eraser.
• Pencil.
• Wood Color Pencil.
• Sharpener.

I chose to draw the character named Doraemon from the Doraemon series.

The Process of Drawing

• First, I will create a simple sketch of the Doraemon character as per the challenge requirements. Which will help me capture its shape and proportions. For this first I will draw a spherical circle. In between I will draw two lines vertically and horizontally.

• Then, inside the circle, I will draw two more circles on the upper part of the horizontal lines that will indicate Doraemon's eyes. After that, I will draw another circle along the middle of the vertical lines that will indicate the nose and lips of the character.

• In this part, I will draw the lower body part of Doraemon. I will leave a slight curve in the body part and leave a gap at the bottom of the legs.

• Then I will draw the hands on the last part of the sketch of the Doromon character. And I will draw the objects on the pockets and neck part of the body part of the Doraemon character. And with this part, my sketching is complete.

• After finishing the sketch, I will use the color of the wooden pencil to create shadows. Since the color of Doraemon's body is blue, I will first color the entire body of the character with blue color.

• In this step, I will color the eyes, name, and lips of the Doraemon character with red, maroon, and coffee colors. I will draw a shadow on the lips with black color.

• Then I will color the locket that Doraemon wears on his neck in red and the lower part in brown.

• In this step, to make the drawing of Doraemon character more realistic, I will draw an outline with black color on the entire body and the objects on the body. The reason for doing this is to make the drawing more realistic by highlighting each object.

• In the last step, I will use blue color to create shadows on different parts of the body. So that it looks more attractive. And that's how I ended up drawing my favorite character, Doraemon, from the Doraemon series.

Although Kodomo characters are made for children, they are popular with everyone, young and old, all over the world. I am one of them. I chose Doraemon because the characters create a lot of positive values in people. Who was always by his side to give him the dignity of his friendship.

Finally, I always thank the organizer who teaches us the style and technique of all the innovative drawing topics among us through this challenge. Through which we get the opportunity to express our creativity by learning the lessons.
