RE: By 2050 antibiotic resistance will cause 10 million deaths per year
This is a very serious issue.
I'm not familiar with the antibiotics industry but I have heard that subject over and over again, it will probably become more serious as time progresses.
I think it's vital to address here the issue of eating habits. Overally meat consumption has exploded in the last century even in countries that did not include meat on a large scale in their diets ( for example my country, Greece). I think that when it comes to the use on antibiotics in animals it all comes down to how much we consume, simply we consume way too much and that has far reaching implications as stated here.
Great article, thank you for sharing!
We definitely do consume too much meat. I live in Wisconsin and people consume disgusting amounts. It is totally unnecessary and unhealthy. We injure ourselves through our own ignorance. We are getting towards a potentially catastrophic situation with our carelessness and lack of respect for bacteria.
I totally agree with you. I believe that, if we want to avoid serious problems in the futute, a change in habbits is required but that should come only through our personal understanding and effort. Indeed our ignorance is a huge obstacle and it leads it as, as you said, into a potential catastrohpy, what we have to do first is to evaluate the situation as precisely as possible. Again thank you for sharing this and raising awareness about this very serious subject. I'm pretty new to to steemit and I'm very happy to see threads like this, approaching serious subjects in the right angle.
Again, thank you for sharing, I'm following you and I'm looking forward for more of your posts. Take care @clumsysilverdad1!
