Clouds Cold Showers Flurries April Remains Cruel

The satellite picture this morning pretty much describes the dilemma we are in. The storm system that has taken 5 days to move from the Midwest through the Northeast is still up there in Northern New England/ Southeastern Canada and the cold unstable flow around it is producing a whole lot of clouds and an early March chill to the air. Temperatures today are going to have a very tough time getting out of the 40s.

The broad upper air circulation is still evident on the radar loop this morning with snow coming in off the Great Lakes into Western NY & Western Pennsylvania. It is hard to believe we are still dealing with this in mid April. As the upper air low moves east it is likely to trigger off a few afternoon showers our way but in the event that they happen they will be on the light side.

Once this plays through this evening weather conditions will improve some tonight as skies clear. Wednesday looks like a decent day with some sunshine and highs back into the 50s. Then here comes the next weather system that moves across the Ohio Valley. The dominating nature of the Monday storm will keep this system rather weak so a few showers are possible later Wednesday night and again later Thursday.

Temperatures Thursday might reach into the 60s with a little luck before it turns dry and chilly again for Friday and the Weekend. At least the weekend is looking good as does the first part of next week and temperatures at least could start trending toward normal for this time of year.
