Thanks !! .. The bow is made from a single ash stave. In my opinion ash is the best wood that you can use for crafting a longbow. I would actually like to make a bow of yew wood once as traditionel english longbows were usually made of yew, but ash wood results in really stable and reliable bow shafts. It is also more easy to work on with tools and therefore more forgiving if you work out the needed shape. On my next bow I would like to try on a more exotic shape, including leather, feathers anx other accessoires ;)
